Re: ROTD FINAL POLL: Who is Mr. Ram?
hard to seperate the winner from the rest as all Rams greats...so i eliminated the ones that didnt play their entire career with the Rams....like Dwight..i voted Youngblood!
looking at the list tho..i do feel that Merlin Olson is better than some that got in the final mix,but understand the voting system would only allow one from each decade!

Re: ROTD FINAL POLL: Who is Mr. Ram?
All truly great players. I voted for Jack Youngblood though because of his relentlessness, his drive to excel, his ability and his longevity. But above all, his playing with a broken leg so that the Rams could win just caps it all. In a day and age when players sit out because of the sniffles and hurt feelings, Jack is a giant among men.:r

Hey, Avenger, thanks for putting these polls together. I was a pleasure going down memory lane. Can't wait for the draft.

I too voted for Youngblood, although, I can see Marshall taking over when we look back 50 years from now.

Re: ROTD FINAL POLL: Who is Mr. Ram?
Lot of great Rams on this list...probably could have been Marshall had his Rams career been longer...but as things stand I have to go with Jack Youngblood. One of the all time greats, not just for his talent, but his character, guts and toughness....what a great Ram!

Re: ROTD FINAL POLL: Who is Mr. Ram?
Though I didn't vote for him in the 60s poll (went for Merlin Olsen), I've got him now as Mr. Ram: Deacon Jones.
David 'Deacon' Jones, a true icon of the modern day defense in the NFL. :r

the Rams have 2 of the 4 greatest pass rusher in Youngblood and Jones. Along with Reggie White and Lawrence Taylor now that says allot.

Re: ROTD FINAL POLL: Who is Mr. Ram?
This one was really tough for me, it was between Youngblood & Faulk. I had to go with Faulk. He helped win us our 1st SuperBowl.

Re: ROTD FINAL POLL: Who is Mr. Ram?
Youngblood.
Not usually the fastest, strongest, or most gifted player on the field. But what he lacked in talent, he more then made up for with heart and determination. A true team player, a good guy, and as hard-nosed as they come. He played in an era of tough-guys and if I had one guy to represent the Rams, I would elect Jack without hesitation.

if you check the list of players that got over 100 career sacks i think youll find that we have a few more on that list aswell..possibly more than any other team!
