Rotoworld throwing Balzer under the bus

This is from rotoworld.com...interesting!

Quote:
"The New York Times suggests that teams' apparent "concern" over Glenn Dorsey's lower body injuries are false and attempts to get his stock to drop.

Dorsey never missed a game in four years at LSU, winning both the Outland and Nagurski awards. It's worth noting that the story about Dorsey's 2006 stress fracture being a lasting concern was broken by the Sports Xchange's Howard Balzer, a St. Louis native and former Rams beat-type reporter."

Howard doesn't make things up. That's Bernie's job. If anything, it was a bad source.

Re: Rotoworld throwing Balzer under the bus

neither of them are bad....both get information that could be "off the record" but what technically is "off the record"?

Same thing as Jim Thomas. He's getting shelled on here about Fakhir Brown but no one is denying it.

Re: Rotoworld throwing Balzer under the bus

It's kind of a laughable suggestion that the Rams would need to somehow get Dorsey's stock to drop so he could fall to them, considering he's a pretty unlikely candidate to go first overall to Miami if only because of schematic issues let alone injury concerns.

Re: Rotoworld throwing Balzer under the bus

it would make sense if the rams wanted to get his stock to drop so that they could trade back a couple of spots (or a few spots) and still have a shot at him.

However, i think its a bunch of crap.

ramming speed to all
