Route Running

People talk about route running as if you can just become good by practicing them for an extended period of time. Isn't route running just as much about agility and quick stops, cuts, etc.? Doesn't that take more natural skill than experience and repetition?

I know with Danario Alexander he was one of, if not the fastest Missouri Tiger (even when Jeremy Maclin was there) but he has very, very long strides and starting and stopping is not his forte. Would he ever be able to develop into a good route runner?

Not if he doesnt stay healthy.

The Rams better find a way to get the most production out of him as he is very talented yet raw in terms of experience.
