RUMOR: rams want Lance Moore?

Up until last season, I never heard of Lance Moore. I think he was buried in the depth chart until injuries to other receivers allowed for more playing time. I'd be really surprised the Saints let him go considering the only other reliable receiver they have is Marques Colston.

One play that stands out for Lance Moore is a short slant I saw him catch, then splilt the entire defense and outrun them all on his way to a TD. It looked alot like the Fitzgerald catch and run in the Super Bowl, not that I am comparing him to Fitz, as they are not even remotely the same player ...

Does he have any experience as a return specialist? If he does,that would be an added bonus.

In looking at Moore's profile and his work in the best pass offense in football - I'm not excited. He's a small quick slot receiver - don't we already have one of those? Unless he is a great returner, and none of his stats indicate it - he seems more like a safe guy who can catch the ball rather than a real return threat - I don't see the fit. He might be slightly productive, and a fit for a team looking for one more piece to a pass offense. However, for the Rams in trying to rebuild their corps I'd rather either go through the draft or get a different dimension (e.g. a bigger receiver).

I doubt the validity of this.... but, having said that

Lance Moore is a beast. He was an absolute killer for me in a few leagues last year (fantasy football). I enjoy watching him play, and would certainly be alright with seeing him in a Rams uni. Don't know that it would be worth a 3rd to me tho

We might be better off looking for a 'bigger' posession WR than bringing in Moore. But he (Moore) certainly doesn't struggle getting open.

It could be that the Rams have someone interested in Cogs who is an RFA tendered for a #3 pick .. If that scenario were develop, we might not have to give up our own high #3 .. Ah yes .. the sky is full of pies ...

Who is this source? I wouldn't buy this guys because Lance Moore has a second round tender on him, so it makes no sense to say we are offering a third rounder

He's certainly a player who could be an asset, but I don't know that I'd give up a third round pick for a 5'9 WR who's #s may be inflated by the Drew Brees/Saints offense.

A 3rd rounder: No

Being in the pass happy Saints offense is the reason for his numbers, but we are going to run a version of the WCO so his production will not be the same.

I like Moore, but I don't know if I would give up a 3rd round. However, he did have a few hugh plays last year. I like his speed.

He is a class act, he will not be a TO or Chad Johnson. You will never hear a peep, he is a hard worker and a team leader, who just loves the game. That is proven by the fact that he was a UDFA who spent his first seasons on PS's around the NFL.

The thing with that is, the Saints tendered him for a 2nd rounder for a reason. Mickey Loomis will take nothing less. Maybe a 3rd and player would work, Pisa Tinioisamoa or Quintin Culberson would be nice.

If we could get Lance Moore for a third, I would strongly consider it, because of his speed and talents. But for a second rounder? I highly doubt it. Look at the wide receivers we could possibly be drafting in the second round: Kenny Britt, Hakeem Nicks, and Percy Harvin. Do we want those guys, or Lance Moore? I think I'll go with the rookies. Plus, we could also solidify our o-line our our linebacker corps with the second round pick, and Lance Moore just isn't a big enough talent for a second rounder.


So third round and a player: Would highly consider it

What Up Ram Fans, I just wanted to give my opinion on the matter. Theres no way Lance is going anywhere. The reason being Lance was tendered for a 2nd Rnd. Pick. Loomis will keep him before letting him get away for anything less. I just do not see your FO giving the 34th pick for Lance. If they do, I will be ecstatic, (Off season Accomplished) But this will not happen. Good Luck next season. Except when ya'll play the Saints.

Rookie wideouts in the nfl are boom or bust. You are throwing out names of guys who haven't even caught a ball in this league. Moore is a legit starter in this league. He's 25, fast, runs precise routes and has exquisite hands. In the last few years, name me a second round WR that has outplayed moore.
