Pardon me for reading between the obvious lines there.

My Manifesto was entirely clear, and you either (1) are incapable of understanding, or (2) don't wish to understand.

    Either way, I'm done.
I certainly understand that your Manifesto was soft and you'll look for contigencies to excuse your boy, Scott Linehan.

I'm guessing S.L.O.P will be an antiquated forum movement in '08.

    Oh yeah....GO RAMS !!!

I was shocked to see it. Hey, it is what is, though.

Considering the chump style response I got, I must have struck a nerve.

Make no mistake... I don't think Linehan is a good coach, and I doubt he'll still be around in 2009. But, if he proves me wrong, that will mean that the Rams are having a good year, so I'll be happy about that.
I understand, and I was going to give room for losses due to the schedule. The manifesto can give guidelines for the others to follow. I want SLOP to be credible, but I also want SLOP to stay true to our original opinions about Linehan, and above all, I want the Rams to have a good season.

    Thanks for explaining your reasoning.

There are some unwritten rules we go by here at the Clan.

"Don't argue with the professional Lawyer in the blue Armour with Horn-holes" is probably at the top of the list.

If it is not written, it cannot be enforced, Barbie. By the way, how's Ken doing? Didn't you two have a nasty divorce? And subsequently Ken was discontinued as a part of the settlement? ..... ah, wait! If "the professional lawyer in blue Armour with a Corn-hole" was involved........RUN! I SAID RUN! Run for your lives! THERE IS NO HOPE!

    "Unwritten rules...." GGEEEEEEZZZZZZZ.

I am reminded of Jonathan Swift...

"Rebukes are easy from our betters,
    From men of quality and letters;
But when low dunces will affront,
What man alive can stand the brunt?"

However, I believe the Dean of St. Patrick's and one time resident of my dear County Antrim also had something to say to those fans willing to accept mediocrity....

"The stoical scheme of supplying our wants by lopping off our desires, is like cutting off our feet when we want shoes."

WOO-HOO! Oh how I love the offseason. The time of year when grown men speak as experts of facts that won't become so for another 1 to 5 months. Salute!

Why....will he ban me? The mods here aren't punks like that, I'd hope.

Anyway, the "lawyer" should know that accepting the contingency for losing right now is simply making a preemptive excuse. It's quite clear to everyone that losing games due to a "tough" schedule is the contigency, right?

I agree with him that SLOP should be willing to give Linehan a fair chance. I don't agree with him that by giving Linehan a fair chance we accept that he had no chance.

It's funny that the first excuse for Linehan's '08 season came from the Scott Linehan Opposition Party's Founder and President.

I don't think the intention is to bring about an unfair moderator judgement. I could be mistaken but I believe our Aussie friend's monition is born from a lack of sporting occasion arising from the discrepancy in armaments brought to this battle of sagacity.

    Re: The S.L.O.P.P.Y. Manifesto.

Okay. So the rules of the game are that words don't matter, and any poster can attribute any comment they see fit to another poster.

    Got it.

    So...

Possumboy's position is that the Rams must win every game by a score of 56-0. Scott Linehan's performance will be graded on a quarterly basis - meaning each quarter of each game. If the Rams are not up 14-0 (1st Quarter), 28-0 (2nd Quarter), etc., in each game, a timeout will be called by John Shaw, at which point, Linehan will be stripped of his duties at mid-field in a French military style ceremony.

Possumboy further believes that if the Rams don't go 19-0 and win the Super Bowl, all Rams fans should file a class action against Scott Linehan seeking the refund of all salary payments made to him, and that we should also contact our local Congressperson and seek the reinstitution of debtor's prison, just in case he can't come up with the money.

Possumboy then will utilize a re-animator machine, which he's been working on in his garage for the past 12 years, to resurrect Vince Lombardi, who will be named the Rams next head coach.

    Did I leave anything out?
