If he's healthy enough, I'm not sure I'd disagree with that.

If the trend continues, they'll need anyone with a pulse.

    Yeah.

    Has he ever played OT?

It doesn't matter if we need a tackle or not. We need offensive line depth, that is the whole point ...

There are no OT's out there worth signing. We need to move Barron to the left ...

its a case of what we need first depth or a starter,Cogs will be back soon we have Cogs,Setterstrom,Terrell,Brown,Goldberg and then Fry on the practice squad to fill 2 spots..at Tackle we just have Barron to fill two spots!:x

any OT is worth signing when youve only got one!

The Rams might have to make a trade, give up a draft pick and try and snag an OT from a team that has depth.

Again. As Drew pointed out, I don't think Timmerman has ever played OT, so if we sign him, what other guard on the team (other than Goldberg) do you propose to slide over to tackle?

Milford Brown seems like the only other obvious option, but I don't like those prospects that much.

It's a shame we had Setterstrom work at center during training camp. Had he worked a bit at tackle, he might be able to do it. I can't recall if he has any college experience doing so.

Perhaps Cogs should be given a shot at RT. He may not have much experience there, but at least he'd give maximum effort. If he could at the very least bite someone now and then it would give opposing DEs something to worry about. Linny could give him a few reps in practice to see if it would be viable -- no biting our guys of course !! We are deeper at guard than tackle, and at this point (desperation?) it should not be counted out.

    Re: S.t.n.!!!!!

It's not like the Rams need a Pro bowl RT. They just need someone servicable. Especially considering that they've got a heck of a blocking/catching TE in Randy. He could help out the right side (not like Bulger has been throwing to him).
    [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]Maybe not now, but soon.

    Re: S.t.n.!!!!!

With Cogs playing on a bad ankle, I doubt he's a reasonable option at tackle. If he were healthy, I'd agree he is our best chance at backup.

Timmerman hasn't played well for 3 years. Why would you want him back to play a more difficult and demanding position?

Pace supposedly just dislocated his shoulder and nothing more serious. May be back in 2 weeks.
