    11. Minnesota 9
    11. NY Jets 9
    11. Oakland 9
    11. Seattle 9
    11. Washington 9
    18. Chicago 8
    18. Dallas 8
    18. Houston 8
    21. Arizona 7
    21. Jacksonville 7
    23. Denver 6
    24. Baltimore 5
    24. Tampa Bay 5
    24. Tennessee 5
    27. New England 4*
    27. New Orleans 4
    29. NY Giants 3
    29. Philadelphia 3
    31. Atlanta 2
    31. Indianapolis 2

    A couple of notes:

If the Rams had allowed 2 fewer sacks, they would be in the middle of the pack instead of being at the very top of the list like last year. Evidence of improvement!

The asterisk next to the sack total for New England is there because it would have been higher if the game against Baltimore had been called properly and fairly.

keep in mind that the total could be higher but with boller having some mobility he has avoided a few sacks,so yes inprovement but how much is up in the air.

Improvement? Yes. But 10 sacks through 4 games is still too many IMO

I would like to add that 4 of the teams on that list have only played 3 games because of the bye.

    Carolina, Atlanta, Arizona & Philadelphia

    GO RAMS!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Sacks allowed totals after 4 games

I understand where you are coming from, Mom, but this list does not tell how many QB hits and pressures we are giving up. I believe Bulger was injured on a play where he technically was not sacked.

Nor does this list begin to show how little time our QBs have had to find open receivers, ntm that they rarely have a clean pocket or unobstructed throwing lanes.

Look, I would also like to believe that the OL protection has improved but at this point I can't see it.

    WHAT SAY YE?

I see that the QB is getting sacked a lot. We should also make a list of how often they are pressured.

Jacob Bell and Cogs really need to go...

Devaney, if you care about this team... fire the offensive coordinator!!!!

Minnesota will lay some sacks and hits on the QB this weekend, even if Boller starts. Expect the Rams to move up that list.

I really think that until we get rid of JaCob Bell and Cogs this line will NOT get ANY better. I think if we had guys like steve hutChinson or Cooper Carlisle here; staples in an offensive line, I think this line would be GREAT but they are Causing it to be terrible. BeCause really all I've ever heard is those two mentioned for nothing but negativity. I dont hear muCh negativity about barron smith greCo or brown.

throw Hutch in any O-line and it instantly becomes great..just those kind of players dont come around often.
