Sad News about McKeever (#86)

Sad News about McKeever (#86) from Yahoo sports:

Los Angeles Rams Marlin McKeever is shown in this August 1973 file photo in Los Angeles. McKeever, a two-time All-American at Southern California who played 13 years in the NFL, was comatose and in critical condition following a fall at his Long Beach, Calif., home, a longtime friend said Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006. John Papadakis said the 66-year-old McKeever had a blood clot on his brain and was in the intensive care unit at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach.

Re: Sad News about McKeever (#86)

Our thoughts and prayers are with marlin and his family. I have one of his game worn jerseys, i really hope he pulls through and is back up and around. He played both wide receiver and linebacker during his career for the rams.

ramming speed to all

Re: Sad News about McKeever (#86)

Wow, all that from a fall. Musta been brutal. Can't help but feel for his family having to watch him be in a coma. I can't imagine what it would be like to watch someone you love in that state. My prayers go out to him and his family as they struggle through this.

Re: Sad News about McKeever (#86)

To Marlin and his loved ones, "Best Wishes for a Complete Recovery."

One of our fine LB / TE Rams from the past, a true and tough football player.

Thanks for the news, RFS.

Re: Sad News about McKeever (#86)

Marlin McKeever was one of my favorite players while growing up with the RAMS.

I wish him and his family a speedy recovery. My prayers are with him.

I had the chance to meet his son, Marlin Jr. in Zermatt, Switzerland while in college. His son was a great person and I am certain an extension of father!

Hopefully a turn for the better will come soon.
