The East Coast-based agents for Rams second-round draft pick Rodger Saffold were scheduled to fly into St. Louis on Tuesday evening in the hopes of wrapping up a contract for the offensive tackle from Indiana University. They are scheduled to meet Wednesday morning with Kevin Demoff, the Rams executive vice president for football operations.

Saffold is represented by Alan Herman and Jared Fox of Sportstars Inc. in New York. There are a couple of issues that need to be resolved before Saffold agrees to a deal, but they are not considered major issues.

Rookies and selected veterans report Wednesday afternoon, with the first training camp practice for those players on Thursday. (The first full squad practice takes place Saturday.)

Saffold, who missed the end of the Rams' spring offseason program with what was described as a sprained knee, is healthy and expected to be full-go at the start of camp. He is projected as the starting right tackle.
