The Rams have switched to their "I give up" offense.

Huge series on defense. Saints are just as likely to throw up another deep bomb, so they can't assume the Saints will just try to milk some time here.

i wouldn't say the guys aren't playing hard or lost hope because of the td...let's face it, this saints o is pretty special and our d isn't as good as some would make it out to be. the d-line is a serious problem, we have too many starters that should be rotation guys off the bench. brees has had as much time as he's needed, with a qb that good you're not going to have success doing that.
