Re: Saints @ Rams Gameday Thread (11/15/2009)

Heck, 14-14 with the undefeated Saints at the half? I'll take it!
Offense has been very good overall, that interception the only dull spot. Jackson is incredible, hopefully he can carry the load again in the 2nd half. Bulger is good when he settles down back there.
We've got a shot at this, that's all you can ask for.

absolute brilliant!! Jacksons running all over them, keep that Saint offense off the field and we may have a chance for a win. Need one big d-play tho

Incognito is an awesome run blocker. I like Goldberg's pass blocking better though.

Can't agree with you there my friend, tape doesn't lie and anyone that covers the Rams comments on the WR's failure to create seperation. Not to mention last year he was working against most teams #2 CB's in space due to the fact that T. Holt was being doubled almsot all the time. This year against other teams #1, rolling overage, and doubles he's been far less effective.

Isaac Bruce was about the same size as Avery. If they press, it comes down to technique and burst as much as size. You can only press within five yards. If you don't completely disrupt with the press you often get burned so the press is not used exclusively by most teams.

I see why the Eagles were so high on Gibson and why they were so upset that he was traded.

By far the best our offense has looked all yearl... looks like we might have something in Gibson

it's been used pretty heavily by teams against us this year, if you hadn't noticed. and i have not once seen avery beat it - size, technique, whatever, he's not getting it done playing wide when they are stacking the box and pressing the receivers on the outside.
