Sam Bradford - 2010 Offensive Rookie of the Year Highlights

How soon we forget! Just one year ago most Rams fans where only sure about one thing and Sam was on top of that list. Year two, injuries, new coordinator and many losses.

Just look back at last year and allow me to point out a few things.

This just in number 16 he's pretty good,
Sam in the new system does not get to use his legs to create big plays.
Everyone can have an off year...

I will wear my authentic Bradford number 8 with pride!

And I wont be wearing my #8 jersey until I dont get laughed at. Matter of fact, I wont wear any jersey until they deserve it. Its a highlight video, that doesn't prove anything.

And Amendola is severely overrated by Rams fans. Salas = Amendola.

Given the song the video was paired with, I half expected Sam to transform into an 18-wheeler and just roll down the field into the endzone.

Him and team look soooo different. We'll be back. We got the right QB, don't give up on him.

Come on man really?! Its ok if you dont appreciate Amendola, but he is one of the best slot receivers in the game, or was fast becoming one. He led the league in all purpose yards last year....

Im not saying hes god, but he was getting respect from all over the nlf, not just Rams fans.

That all purpose yards stat is a bit misleading really, since it includes kick return and punt return yards. What other receivers that get thrown to as much as he did also returned punts and kicks for their team?

I think Amendola was getting most of his respect through his toughness. The big stat line for me with Amendola, was his pathetic YPC. Im think Salas has a great chance to be a good slot guy for us. His ability to tough out the hard yards after the catch was good.

True. Surely it should be a credit to him that even though he was asked to do all those things (mainly because we needed him to) that he still managed to have such a good season?

Theres no denying his YPC was pathetic, but its not like any of the other receivers were getting open or helping him out! He was the only guy i think Bradford could trust, and for good reason, he was the only one catching the ball and getting open. Maybe he was asked to do a lot of short yardage stuff in order for Sam to get the ball out quickly, i dont know.

We havent had a chance to see what Amendola can do in this offense yet

I think Amendola's good, but once again overrated. He averaged 8 yards a catch, thats absolutely terrible. And like someone stated, that all purpose yards stat was boosted because not only did he start as a WR, he returned kicks and punts.

He was a great safety blanket, and I loved seeing him convert many of our 3rd downs, but he is not irreplaceable. I think next year Salas will be just as good if not better.

Besides the hands. Amendola has unreal hands. Never drops a pass.

Notice how many of those throws Bradford made without setting his feet, it sure looked like half of them were him on the run.

That was one of the biggest surprises that I saw from Bradford last year was how athletic he is.... he could create problems for the defense by rolling out to either side and making accurate throws on the run. We just have not seen that enough in this new offense.

I know, I think its becoming pretty clear now, that playing Bradford in McD's O, is akin to playing Tim Tebow in the WCO.? Im not saying Bradford is as one dimensional as Tebow, but doing his best Tom Brady impression each week is becoming futile, to damaging.! Its about time the organisation gets the correct people in to harness his skillset, not hinder it. The sooner, the better.?
