    Same problem, different year

After being so excited it is now starting to turn out like last year all over again. The one issue that we really thought we addressed was the o-line. Now 2 weeks into camp we are at square one again. We have ONE starting lineman from last season, McCollum. I am sure Martz will again get all the blame for this.

Whats next? One or two of our linebackers go down for the year. MAN AM I FRUSTRATED!

RW, I know how you feel...but to put a positive light on things, at least Chandler isn't wearing Blue & Gold!

    Thats true LOL

I think as Wraith says, its just mid camp injuries. No need to panic, yet LOL

    RW

Not quite the same problem. I think we all are frustrated with Barron. This guy will have to be special to get off my Poop list....

Last I check the Rams picked up Tucker and drafted 3 lineman from this years draft.

1 is a question mark due to injury..

    1 is holding out

the other one is fighting for a starting job....

RW is correct the line is a problem at RT. But IMO the rest of the O line is in very good shape...

if I remember correctly, right tackle is where our problems started last year. Now this year we are unsure of Timmermans health, we have an unproven rookie at left guard and a Pace that isn't getting any younger. If something doesn't get fixed on the right side soon, we can almost certainly count on another mediocre season. I say we pay Verba, and be done with the problem. Barron isn't going to be ready this season any way.

Last years offense would have been better had the d-line been up to par! If the the defense itself can produce at a higher rate , the Offense won't get all the heat and probably less injuries! the Defense could been the difference last year. Instead of a wild card, we would have won the west by at least 3 games! The coaching can change the game plan for a patch work O-line,but if you have no pass rush, you just have no pass rush!
I stopped going to the dentist.......I got tired of the cavity searches!

The problem would only just be beginning if we looked at Ross Verba. He's seeking a five-year contract worth something like $37.5 million. He's 32-years-old, has some concerns about his character, and missed all of 2003 a biceps injury. I don't even see how someone like Verba is on our radar. He's looking for money we shouldn't be willing to give.
