    Re: Sando On DX

    Only injuries will derail DX.

If he stays healthy, he'll be here.

    If he doesn't, he won't.

    Simple as that.

Assuming Fisher's decision will be based on keeping the best players, of course.

We've been hearing that since he became a Ram, yet here he is. I'll admit that it won't shock me if Fisher decides to cut DX loose, but it also won't surprise me if he keeps him on the roster. There is something to be said for heart, drive, dedication, and an indomitable spirit, especially if you have talent.

Unfortunately you need your fifth and sixth receivers to be impact guys on special teams, and DX just doesn't have that element to his game. Of course it is my opinion if healthy(probably the biggest if ever written on this forum) he would be a legit number 1 receiver, and number 1 guys don't play special teams

The phrase "if he can stay healthy" when it comes to DX is to me, the same as the phrase "if pigs had wings they could fly." If DX could stay healthy, he would be a huge asset. Alas, he can not and has not been able to do so and again, there is simply no reason to believe that is going to change, given the nature of his injuries.

Sure, he has hung in this long, but the rams have been noticeably devoid of talent at the receiver position and that is in the process of changing. As the talent becomes greater at the receiver position, his talents are less impactful, given the injuries and the lack of contribution on special teams.

DX as well know has issues coming in with health, but do we need him to be out there for every down?

    2011 St. Louis Rams 10 5 26 Yards 431 Avg. 16.6 68 TD 2

Heck he avg. 16.6 yards per catch, now not saying he's all world but on this team when the Avg. is around 6 yards per catch that's saying something...

I'm, higher on DX this year more then last year. We have two rookies that can make big plays and that's it. DX is needed more then ever IMO. If he is used in three and four sets and only gets 10 -15 plays a game, I take it.

I hope he makes it and can contribute.

One thing is for certain, while ths is bandied about DX is getting himslef ready to do what it takes to be the best he can be. I am sure his mindset is nothing but about improving over last year. Time will tell.

Still will never forget the drop he made against Seattle last year.
