Schefter on morning SC: Dolphins have "slight" advantage on Fisher
Per Adam Schefter on the morning SportsCenter
Not quite sure what to make of this, but I just want this madness to end. I won't believe he's ours until someone officially says it, not sources that we are the favorites. I want sources that say its definite. The one thing I am worried about was in the CBS article I posted yesterday, that Ross comes down with one final offer that makes Fisher the highest paid coach in the NFL. I do feel confident in our HC search.Sense that I’m getting... is that Miami has the slight advantage he feels a certain tie and connection to the Dolphins
Not to feed the madness, but if he doesn't come here there will be lots of tension...not because we didn't land Fisher, but because people will begin to speculate we are moving to LA and that's why Fisher didn't come.. Didnt want to repeat the troubles he experienced in Houston/Nashville.

We should all take a chill pill until this thing shakes out one way or another. NONE of these reporters knows anything more than anyone else- which is very little. And in their attempts to **** each other off within the industry and get the latest "scoop", they do nothing but inflame fans with half truths, rumors and speculation. It is beyond annoying. I'm sure we'll all hear about it soon enough.

Exactly. Everyone needs to CALM DOWN. Fisher will either come here or he won't. I think he will because the NFC West is far from being a decided division. Whereas if he goes to Miami, he might not coach long enough to see it not dominated by Brady. If he wants money, he'll go to South Beach. If he wants to win, I suspect he'll take the St. Louis job. But that's just me.
I believe!

Re: Schefter on morning SC: Dolphins have "slight" advantage on Fisher
blah...blah....blah....These guys just need something to report.....Fisher is home talking it over and will decide this week until then nothing has changed, no one knows anything but Fisher....
and I hope Fisher is the Rams coach to get started on building for next season already, and not trying to find a new coach that can take longer, and Free Agents may not feel comfortable playing for...etc etc....

Jeff Fisher leaning toward Rams?
By Mark J. Miller | Scoop Du Jour – 5 hours ago
US Presswire
The Miami Dolphins were feeling pretty good about their chances about getting Jeff Fisher, the former Tennessee Titans head coach, to come take over the team when he visited last Thursday. But now it appears the Dolphins are moving on and Fisher is leaning toward joining the St. Louis Rams, according to McClatchy news services.
Fisher's Titans faced off against the Rams in the Super Bowl back in 2000 and lost 23-16. Now Fisher has the chance of sitting in the other locker room, but there is something that isn't sitting well with him, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Fisher originally coached the team when it was known as the Houston Oilers and went with the team as it moved to Tennessee and played its first season in Memphis before moving to Nashville. And now he is concerned that the Rams could move back to Los Angeles, the Post-Dispatch reports. As it is, the Rams can leave Missouri after the 2014 season "if their stadium isn't among the top 25 percent of all NFL venues," according to the ProFootballTalk, though, as the site points out, it isn't really clear exactly what that means.

Re: Schefter on morning SC: Dolphins have "slight" advantage on Fisher
This is really a tug of war match. At this point I don't care. In reality we don't know for certain if Fisher can turn the Rams around. If we get him, cool; If we don't, doesn't mean we won't find a coach that can't get the job done.
