scratch them off your list
The Rams have little shot at a couple of free agents now.
Franchised so far
Abraham(DE)--Jets
Clements(C)--Bills
Still on the list--(teams have until Thursday to declare)
Bentley--Saints
Hope--Steelers
Hillenmeyer--Bears
Winborn-Jags
Witherspoon-Panthers
Resigned
Lynch--Broncos
Wayne--Colts
Players we need to worry about losing for the Rams
Arch
Pickett
Ivy
Who else do the Rams need to chase?? We are only 2 weeks from free agency (providing the NFL can work something out with the CBA). :O

Just to clarify, free agency starts in two weeks unless something changes regarding he cba. there has been talk of an extension to the free agency start date, but that would only occur by mutual consent. if nothing is worked out, the free agency would begin first week in march.

Do you guy have any further info regarding the fact that the collective bargaining agreement is about to expire and all its impact on this year? I heard something on ESPN radio, but wasn't able to "really" pay attention while working.

Re: scratch them off your list
What I've heard so far is that the CBA has two years left on it but that 2007 was written into the agreement as a capless year. About a week ago, reports were coming out that the sides were getting close to an agreement, but all the reports before that were that there were disagreements on revenue sharing--big markets arguing with small markets about the ways it would be distributed and the players just wanting more in general.
The problem in regards to Free Agency will be if the sides are still hammering out a new agreement when it starts. If they agree to let it stand, there could be some crazy contract numbers in 07. If they work things out, business as usual. If people sign thinking there will be no cap, then a new agreement goes into effect that's what would really screw teams up.
