Let's clarify this résumé a little bit. He won a Super Bowl with Dungy's team in his first year, then proceeded to go 45-51 and only make the playoffs two more times in six years. He lost in the Wild Card round in both of those playoff appearances. The Bucs were 9-3 at the end of November and then lost four in a row on their way out of the playoff race.

I'm just saying he brings that "I'm gonna kick your ass if you don't perform" atmosphere to the table and he has experience as a head coach. I want to give a new guy a shot, but at the same time I wouldn't have a problem with hiring Gruden. Would you?

I'm giving Billy Devaney the benefit of the doubt with whomever he chooses, because not only do I like what he's brought to the organization so far, not only because he's helped do this before, but he's in the room and we're not. I'll give whomever he chooses a chance to right this ship, whether it's Gruden (very unlikely given the timing) or someone else.

No way don't hire Gruden.

Gruden has done absolutly nothing for the Bucs in the last many years. He took over Dungy's team and won the SB the first year based on Dungy's work. For the rest of the time the Bucs Offence has been bad (and Gruden should be an Offensive guru?) and only Kiffin's D have kept them in games.

He apparently alienated more than a few players and assistant coaches during his long stint in Tampa .. This was mentioned during a discussion on ESPN Radio as I was driving home .. Also stated that the Rams will wait until after the AFC Championship game to name a head coach -- we'll see about that I guess ...

Works for me, were taking the chance on a rookie coach anyway right?..You would be crazy not to want Gruden on the team..
