The NFL has granted the Seahawks a deadline extension to sell more playoff game tickets, in hopes of avoiding a local TV blackout.
The Seahawks are trying to sell what remains of the ticket supply for Saturday's NFC wild-card game against St. Louis at Qwest Field. There are 5,000 tickets still available.
The original blackout deadline was 1:30 p.m. today. The league decided to extend that by 24 hours because of the short turnaround time from Sunday's Seahawks win over the Atlanta Falcons, and the playoff game Saturday.
The Seahawks must get as close to a sellout (66,000) as possible to avoid the blackout. The team has sold 61,000 tickets since Sunday evening.
Tickets are available in several price ranges. Each person can purchase as many as eight with cash or credit card only. They're available by calling (206) 622-HAWK, at
www.seahawks.com, or the Qwest Field box office.
