"It's the best way to evaluate players that I've come to know," Nolan said. "For us to have an opportunity to coach those guys and evaluate them first-hand in meetings, get to know them, eat with them and do all those things for an entire week puts us one-up in the evaluation process."
And then they drafted the rookie of the year,*****' Patrick Willis Voted AP's NFL Defensive Rookie of Year. Had to help having that access.
Side bar, Nick you happy with the new hirer at WV? Congrats on the big win!

Coach Stewart is the one guy this university could have hired to provide the most continuity with this team. He's losing some of his offensive staff to Michigan so there will be some areas to replace, but I'm optimistic about promoting Stewart to head coach... as long as he was always a real candidate for the job and not just an emotional hire. Definitely helps salvage the recruiting class.

What will be interesting will be to see how the team we may coach performs.
What I wonder is what will happen in the second half. Say they start out fast, with all the potential you'd expect, but fail to score in the second half, I'd think that Shaw and Ziggy may have some more thinking to do about Linehan's employment.
I think coaching at the senior bowl would be the best thing that could happen to this franchise this offseason.

well nick.. i watched that game and i have to say that was the hardest that i have seen them play all year.. to me if coach stewart wouldnt have been promoted that would have been a slap in the face.. he's a good man.

Ok. I literally laughed reading that.
Thanks man, was a great laugh.
Yeah, we probably won't take advantage of it. Why take a chance to improve our team?
Duh, we're the Rams. We don't go out of our way to improve.
Re: Senior bowl coaches Rams staff?
yes it's sad, but untill shaw and zygmunt prove otherwise thats how it is.

Oh, those poor kids- soiled before they even have a chance to grow roots. Whoever is playing tackle will probably go offsides about 7 or 8 times, but I'm sure we'll see plenty quick passes to the receivers and those promising pass-catching TE's won't be able to complain that they didn't get enough practice staying into block!!!
P.S.
I'm sure the Linehan-Apologists will find a way to blame the Rams injuries if Linehan's staff stumbles in this game once again....
