Should Mad M. be allowed to coach the last game ?

Now that whe has medical clearance, should he be allowed to at least coach for one last time as a farewell for his players and his fans?
I know I'm going to miss him

As much as I'd love to see Martz stay and Shawgmunt go...........I have to think Martz coaching the final game only muddies the waters leading into what is going to be a very active offseason.

Martz should be allowed to coach in St. Louis until he retires

My first choice would be Robin Williams but if Martz is healthy he gets the nod over Robin because he has a contract that says he is coach and beyond that I think it would show a nice gesture on the part of the FO to let Mike go out coaching one last game. Even if that game is not a critical game.

Yes I think he should. Well maybe its because I want him to. But yes I want and think that Martz should be able to coach us in the last HOME GAME of the season!

Martz should stay till he feels like he cant coach anymore i cant stress anymore howmuch i want him to stay but everyday it is looking like thats not gonna happen but any coach to come into stlouis will be a puppet for the front office and will have no power whatsoever meaning rams are heading for a couple of seasons like this one ahead
    Torry Holt Dont play that

Couldn't agree with you more. As long as the FO stays the same we doomed to be, with luck a .500 team

If the FO is already set on getting rid of Martz, then it'd be a classy move to let him coach one more game.

If he doesn't and he's gone, it's kind of interesting to think that I went to see Martz coach his last Rams game when I saw him versus Seattle in October.

On the basis that the man has a contract with the organisation to coach the Rams this season and beyond I say yes. And I think he will.....unless Mr Zygmunt is in possession of the keys at the Ed.

Re: Should Mad M. be allowed to coach the last game ?

Personally, I would like to see Mike Martz remain as the head coach. I feel as though the team can win under his direction. He does make stupid calls sometimes with clock management and play calling, but I believe they can win with Martz coaching.

Now Marmie and some of the other defensive coaches needed to go a long time ago. If we had a decent defense, we would have won many of the close games this year.

I will be sad and disappointed if Martz is no longer a Ram.

If this really is it for him with the organization, then he deserves to coach one last time. However, I am not sure if he will be allowed to do so....

Re: Should Mad M. be allowed to coach the last game ?

This would probably be better posted on another thread, but I think it's worth pointing out that most of the guys who call for his head state that we'd be better off going for a d-minded coach who'd keep his 0-system in place. That's fine, but if that's the panacea for all ills, then what's the objection to keeping him and completely re-shaping the coaching staff and philosophy on the d-side of the ball?

Let's see him have a chance to direct Fitzpatrick in a game situation preferably last game of the season.
