I agree. I just hope that when the time comes they honor both names and not just Issac's. Ellard was without a doubt the most underrated WR of his day

Re: Should the Rams retire Holt's number?

The Rams aren't the Yankees so no. There are only so many numbers that can be chosen for each position. Holt also doesn't seem like the type of player whose number you would retire. He wasn't a leader of the team really and wasn't someone who was the face of the team.

I wouldn't be against it if they retired his number because he is one of the all time great receivers but I think only the really special players should have their numbers retired.

My initial viewpoint on this is no. He was good but was he great? I mean great great. Bruce/Ellard....#80 yes. #81.....have to say no.

I agree with txramsfan. Burce & Ellard's number should be retired, not Holt. I meant, Holt did some great things for the organization, but not enough to retire his number.

Absolutely not. Not only do we need to have numbers available, but Torry asked to leave. He wanted to go. IMHO, only ultimate rams palyers deserve that honor. Tell Torry to step to the back of the line.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!

Absolutely true! Totally agree. I love Torry and all that he did for us but, NO ,,, I do not believe he deserves to have his number retired (neither 81 nor 88). Not by a long shot.

If any number should be retired, it's Deacon's No. 75. Far, far overdo!
