should the rams trade chillar AND a 3 for jenkins

Carolina is looking for linebackers. Would you add chillar to a 3 to get jenkins. Think about this one, chillar is pretty good, not great, but still young and cheap.

Second question. If the rams are picking 13, okoye is gone and either branch is also gone or they dont like branch, at that point do you trade a 2 for jenkins or add to the 3 with another pick, say a 4..

I'd say Kris Jenkins would make more of an immediate impact than any 2nd round DT pick. That also allows us to go a different direction with our pick at #13... like Anderson or Willis.

I'd trade Chillar away with the three. But keep the second pick, if the top 2 tackles aren't there take Harrell or McDonald or Tyler in the second, use the first on a corner, saftey or one of our pass rushing friends. I don't think Chillar is as good of a linebacker as they're looking for though.

There are very, very few Rams with any trade value that the Rams WOULD trade. Maybe on draft day, they could get a 4th or 5th for Chillar, kind of more or less like they did for Manumaleuna. But no team in their right mind is going to take a Chillar, a Butler, a Byrd, or anyone else of that caliber as sweetening in a big trade. They would look like fools doing it. In other words. If we want to get rid of them because we think they're expendable in some way, who would *want* them? Would anyone here trade Little if the other team threw in their least accomplished linebacker---a guy who might not start if they draft the right replacement? Who here would take that trade?

I don't think the Panthers would accept it. I don't think that Chillar and a 3rd is enough for Jenkins.

then maybe we should make the deal with a #2, if the Rams think that Jenkins can make this defense better, and thats all we really need with the high powered offense, just a better defense then why not ? sure drafting a young talented guy helps down the road but the Rams are looking at that "Window" of opportunity and it is getting smaller, age is starting to creap up on this team and if they are going to make one more run at it with these veterans, they need to do it soon and not have to wait 2 to 3 years for draft picks to learn how to play in the NFL.

I say draft a safety or linbacker, if Branch and Am are gone.

I say yes to all of the above General, though I do agree with Tx, that the Panthers probably would require more than Chillar and a 3rd. Unless of course, this is a cap move for them, in which case I'd just wait for them to cut him.
