Putting words in both Fisher's and Silver's mouth, I'd read between the lines, "...the Rams QB [potential?] is great and everything, but then there are all other areas / players I need to look into as [possible] HC, not just Bradford. You gotta keep in mind that the success in improving Rams results does not rely solely on their QB".

That's okay, Coach Fisher, that's okay. Let's get you to sign then we'll talk Bradford.
Yeah, It might just be his way of making a point.? On the other hand, he has talked about Jay Cutler in glowing terms, and Bradford was very poor at times last season. So it's totally understandable to me, if he doesn't love him.?

Forget Silver... what is Nick Fisher hearing?

    Is this a leverage comment?

Maybe, maybe not. It's possible that while he likes Bradford, he's not completely sold on him.

If Fisher is looking long-term, then having a young QB whom you're not completely sold on may not be significantly better than having no QB at all.

One thing to consider is that, if Fisher comes to St. Louis, he's probably tied to Bradford for next season if not 2013 as well. If he's not completely sold on Bradford, that might not be an appealing situation.

Whereas in Miami, he could package some picks and/or players whom he has no attachments to and try to move up for either Luck or RGIII if he really likes either of them.

Or it's possible he's absolutely fine with Bradford and the quote is meant to try and leverage the organizations against each other. We really just don't know at this point.

Not sure its helpful for any 'confidant' of Fisher to say anything about Bradford if there's any possibilty of Fisher coming here. Anything negative such as has been quoted is a fairly negative start to any potential relationship.

And so I'm inclined to think that the 'source' is talking out of his arse and that he's about as close to Jeff Fisher as I am.

May be wrong of course but if that's really how Fisher feels and he's communicating publicly through Silver, I wouldn't want him here anyway.

Well hell, I don't love Sam either, but I surely want him behind center.
