SNF. Who Do Rams Fans Root For?
So after going out Saturday night...I woke up only to find out I missed the Rams lose to the Vikings.
Through reading the forum I concluded that Bradford had yet another inconsistent performance. Craig Dahl sounds like he will be gone next season. Our defense blew it big time today with stopping the run. Our wide receivers were again inconsistent.
By now I've already stated enough times how I feel about Bradford. I did expect our defense to stop AP better than they did though...I'm disappointed.
Anyways, the Whiners are facing the Cheatriots tonight. As Rams fans,
WHO DO WE ROOT FOR??

"The potential in our lives far exceeds what we ordinarily imagine."

actually, bradford was like usual, start off good, stiiiiiiiiiink in the middle, then 4th quarter heroics, except he missed *barely* key throws the last 2 drives, he makes them, rams end up tying probably, then going into OT to possibly win it
and without 2 big runs, he has about 90 yards

and pretty much, all the 8-6 teams you root against from here on out, and *sigh* we have to root for the redskins to win their division...
if giants, bears, cowboys lose out...the rams may get in if they take care of business themselves
possible, but it's a christmas miracle

Between the two, I'd rather see the ***** win than the Patriots. At least that gives our division--and our earlier win over them--more respectability around the league. The better they are this year, the more fun it'll be putting them in their place next year.

I root for a 0-0 tie. And to make it even better, a short cheatroits FG to end OT doinks off the upright.

Re: SNF. Who Do Rams Fans Root For?
It's probably largely a generational thing. Those of us who started following the team after their move to St. Louis only caught the tail end of the misery with the ***** during the '90s. For most of the last decade, the ***** have been a team to be pitied, not feared. Meanwhile, the Patsies have been the team that keeps getting richer with high profile free agents all the while pushing the boundaries of fair play and sportsmanship. They're the team that once faked a spike to tack on another score during a 52-7 blowout. They mugged our receivers to deprive us of a Super Bowl win and were remorseless when they got caught flaunting the rules during the videotaping scandal. Maybe it's just because the wounds are fresher, but I can't help wanting them to lose at every opportunity available even if it means another team I'm not a fan of winning.

I knew this was coming.
Sorry Ferter, but the vast majority of us want to root for one side over the other. It's human nature.
I wasn't rooting for either side at the start, but now that it looks like the whiners are going to win going away, I want them to pour it on, embarrass New England in their house, and keep Brady without a TD pass.

Rather see the Pats win. I may hold hard feelings after that Super Bowl loss but they really didn't beat us, we beat ourselves that game. And since we face the Whiners twice a year whereas the Pats once in every 4 years, rather see misery amongst the team we often face.
P.S. looks like Tom Brady's TD-streak is in jeopardy, if the Whiners can keep him from passing to the endzone, Brees's streak will still remain top notch.

Re: SNF. Who Do Rams Fans Root For?
The 4*'s are our arch rival to the bitter end of time. Been a fan of Rams for 33 years, I've been through two generations of misery. I will always despise the band wagon 4*'s fans, and everything about that team, town.
Although I'm really starting to dislike the Sea Chikens as well. The recent media blitz, the QB, and especially Pete Carroll make me want to puke.
The next few years are gonna be interesting for the NFC West.
