So, Cutler won't suit up this Sunday

    Andrew Seligman
    AP

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) -- Chicago Bears coach Marc Trestman says Jay Cutler will not play this week but remains the team's No. 1 quarterback despite Josh McCown's strong play.

He also says star linebacker Lance Briggs remains ''a couple of weeks away'' from returning from a small fracture in his left shoulder that has sidelined him the past three games. The Bears expected him to miss six weeks, and Trestman says he remains on schedule.
Chicago's next game is at St. Louis this weekend.
Cutler's status has been a topic of conversation in Chicago in recent weeks because of his expiring contract, groin and ankle injuries and McCown's performance. But Trestman insisted he's in no danger of losing his job and remains ''the quarterback of our football team.''

Many in Chicago feel McCown should be the no 1 guy at their helm. Beating the Packers minus Rogers will do that for you I guess. The Bears won't miss Cutler at all!!!

If the Rams "D" played like they did at Indy, does it matter who the Bear's QB is, McCown or Cutler? It just would come down to how the Ram's QB plays

Saw a inner view with Josh and he was very refreshing, saying there were times he wished he could call up Jay's or some other strong armed QB's Throwing abilities. I like the humility factor the guy brings, he is a realist...
in a world of fantasy footballers! LOL
Hard to not root for him to do well, except of course against us! Dueling Killer Klemmins and Come on down McCown, should be dang entertaining to say the least!

    Who backs up McCown?

EDIT: Never mind, I found it....Jordan Palmer from Texas-El Paso. Oookay.

Re: So, Cutler won't suit up this Sunday

With Cutler out, the Bears players have really stepped forward and are playing with heart they never showed when Jay was the QB.

Isn't that the talking about about Bradford?

I was wondering the other day; people claimed a while back that we shouldn't have considered the Rams a playoff contender because they are so young. If that's the case, why did those same people get upset when the Rams lost to obvious playoff contenders early in the season?
