So I'm watching Hawks @ Rams from last season...

...on NFL Network last night. I couldn't help but come to a couple of conclusions.

1. The 2005 Rams may be the poorest tackling team in the history of football.

2. Did I say the poorest tackling team in the history of football? I'm sorry, I meant THE POOREST TACKLING TEAM IN THE HISTORY OF FOOTBALL!!!!!

3. On several plays, our offensive line looked absolutely lost. Even with maximum protection (7 blockers), the Hawks were coming through the line on a dead sprint. Sad, truly sad.

4. I love Pisa. I'm secure enough in my man-hood to say, if I were a woman, I'd have the hots for him real bad. This guy was putting more effort into the game OFF the field, than most were ON the field.

5. POOREST TACKLING TEAM IN THE HISTORY OF FOOTBALL!!!

No doubt HUb. It was painful, embarrassing and frustrating to watch. What was worse for me is that I had to live through it on Sunday AND Saturday as a die hard UCLA fan. The 2005 Bruins could easily have laid claim as the poorest takling team in the history of college football, perhaps ALL of football. Yikes!

Hopefully this year we will RID that name for ourselves. But I totally agree with you, it was truly pathetic. Remember that eagles game? The RB in the BACKFIELD, and two missed tackles, led on to a few more...touchodwn eagles. WTF!!! GET HIM DOWN IN THE BACKFIELD.

Is the game you are referring to the one where McDonald fumbled on the return?

Sami is STILL mad about that. She blames him for the loss....

Re: So I'm watching Hawks @ Rams from last season...

The truly sad part is that despite everthing, the Rams still had a chance to win.

That goes back to the philosophy Martz and Marmie had regarding hitting during practice. They kept full pad practices to a minimum and NEVER had players go through tackling drills or tackling in practice after the training cap. The thought was to keep the players fresh, but instead it turned them into a bunch of arm tacklers.

You would have thought that just because players that aren't starter material can tackle on Madden that they can tackle in real life.
