So many opportunities... TO VENT!
I need to vent on this game but don't know how... :x
Where to start.
We lost. 17-16. I was unable to watch the game but followed it for the most part (about 90%) on NFL Game Center.
WHAT HAPPENED! Aaaaargh!!!
Here's what I saw on the NFL refreshing page: Rams fumbles -- Torry Holt?!? -- Bulger sacked a few times, fumbled once. The friskies recover. Gore scores on a 43 scamper!
We couldn't take advantage of several golden OPPORTUNITIES!!!
Now we hit the road... :\Last edited by RealRam; -09-16-2007 at 04:29 PM.

D played great! O Still can't score TD! ST gave up the lead with a fumble. Sad The whinners are 2-0 and they should be 0-2. Marc played great!
D palyed great get of Haslett's back.

Re: So many opportunities... TO VENT!
After watching the game I have to say that making the Play-offs is now a long shot. Heard the stat earlier that teams that start 0-2 only make the Play-offs 11% of the time and with both the losses being at home and todays to a Divisional rival it makes it even more difficult. The defense was much improved today, basically playing an excellent play but for the 2nd Gore TD which Chavous should have prevented. The fumbles killed us, Torry's taking points off the board and Hall's put points on the Niners side. Again kicking short FG's hurts your chances when it's important to come away with 7. BTW Clifton Ryan made a huge impact today ...

Re: So many opportunities... TO VENT!
Thanks Rambos. But I feel so bad. ...So sad. :\
1. Did Dante Hall fumble?
2. How about Jax?
3. Was the winnie defense that good or did our OL not handle them well enough?
4. Was the last FG attempt a miss by Money or a botched play?

Re: So many opportunities... TO VENT!
The offense is embaressing they did not even try and establish the run and the fumbles, especially Holts were ridiculous.
The defense was great but we are getting a high pick this year.

Re: So many opportunities... TO VENT!
yeah chavous' half-hearted tackle attempt on Gore killed us, outside of that the defense played surprisingly well. i disagree on the T Holt comment, that was a great play by clements to punch the ball out and a tough break for it to roll out of the endzone. halls muffed punt was killer

Re: So many opportunities... TO VENT!
With about 5 min left in the game he muffed apunt that gave the whiners the lead. They did not have to move the ball.Did Dante Hall fumble?
There came after us, more blitzing, they played well enough to win the game in the first hald, if score TD from in side the 20.Was the winnie defense that good or did our OL not handle them well enough?
Money had it on line, I thought he made it came up about a yard short. Was the last FG attempt a miss by Money or a botched play?
He ran hard all day, just no holes for him.How about Jax?
One bad play for our D, gave up a 40 yard TD run on 4th, other then that I thought they played well.

Re: So many opportunities... TO VENT!
Bennett looked very good.
Clifton Ryan was HUGH today.
James Hall played well
Draft played well.
The secondary played well.
We just found a way to give it away.

Re: So many opportunities... TO VENT!
This loss again like last week is on the OFFENSE.The D played a great game.Once again it came down to turnovers and stupid penalties.I was hoping we just lost to a superior opponent last week vs Carolina but they just got lit up by Houston. There is just no excuse for this game. The only bright spot was the emergence of Clifton Ryan.
Dante Hall must go!!!! he was awful!!!Bottom line his muff cost us the game and he was dancing most of the time on his other attempts.Last week was a mirage with this guy.He is done. And why couldn't we try to get the 1st down on 4th & 2 and kick a shorter field goal with no time left???

Re: So many opportunities... TO VENT!
I feel sick because we should have won that one. Turnovers are a killer and this team does not protect the ball well at all. Again with the score 13-7 just like last week we turn it over where we had either 3 or 7 points in hand. Again we go down 14-13 and we continue to shoot ourselves in the foot. Hall's fumble was killer. Six minutes on the clock up by one with the ball would have been great. Man I hate losing like that.
Just Fix It

Re: So many opportunities... TO VENT!
1. yes, but it looked like one of OUR guys had contact before the attempted catch.
2. Jax wasnt really a factor. Close to the end of the game, he was throwing a fit.
3. Too many protection breakdowns, Bulger got killed and they werent just shirt tackles, he really got blown up. During the 1st 3 quarters, Bulger was balz out accurate, but some recievers just had some stupid drops. The hits he was taking started to take its toal in the 4th.
4. Just short. We tried to do a Josh brown but not enough leg.
