    So trade deadline is here

What are you guys feelings? Are we gonna pick up small pieces or just run with what we have? I am seeing more of the latter? Unless we can pick up some depth help?

unlike previous seasons in the recent past,i don`t see us being so banged up at one position that we gotta make a desperation move..which is what i think deadline day trades generally are.
so no,i`m not expecting any..maybe a late pick trade for a number 2 RB but i`m not expecting it.

Yeah, you usually don't see a whole lot of mid-season trades in the NFL. I'm not expecting us to make any moves at all.

And just like I expected... no trades except a rather low key one between the Chiefs and Bucs. Even in an uncapped year the NFL is just not a trading league.
    I believe!

So the trade deadline has come and gone, and surprisingly I am not upset that the Rams did not trade for Vincent Jackson.

And I promise I won't mention VJ until free agency starts.

Boy it feels good to put that one to bed.

can we give the Raiders a third round draft pick for the whole team or would that be asking too much?

Looks like nobody bit on the bait. And there are teams that could have used him more than the Rams (shocking, I know). The Panthers, Steelers, Chiefs, Bills........all have a bigger need for additions to the receiving corp than the Rams.

If VJ decides to continue his holdout, he won't be available as a FA this offseason. His holdout will cost him this season counting toward time in service for FA. He'd need to stay with SD for another year or they would have to trade him, and we've all seen how well that has worked.

P.S.-- As a side note, although VJ is a very talented redeiver, he is a total head case. I'm not sure I'd want him in our lockeroom at this point. I guess I could be persuaded, I just haven't seen anything to show me he's not going to become a cancer in our lockeroom.
