I'm probably looking for any sign to add to my hope chest but I really like the fact he is just picking from what is available and is not hung up on his old number.

    I like the mind set.

Good observation. Hopefully he is just focusing on getting ready to win some football games and not scoring his old college jersey number back.

I do like guys who aren't petty like that. Just another good sign to me. I never cared about numbers as long as i was on the field..

I don't know that it's necessarily being petty. Sometimes a guy's number has been with him his whole football career, and it means something special to him.

8 is the number today. He could still opt to buy 14 from Burton. I would not rush out to buy the Bradford stuff just yet....

It's not like they are that expensive. Just $30.00 and $10.00 to change. Besides, I have grown to like the kid in the last 24 hours.

Hard to say - if you think about it, Bradford hasn't even met Burton yet. If he does change, there won't be a press conference.

Still, with Bradford's demeanor, he may stay with 8.

I hope he stays with 8 as I will make a figure of him with that number.

Considering the magnitude of this pick and how many fans are probably expected to buy jerseys, I doubt he changes his number. Imagine all of these fans, excited about their new quarterback, rushing out to buy his jersey only to find out in July that the number has changed.
