So what happens when a bad offense goes up against a bad defense?
This Sunday's game could be a favorable matchup for us.
1. We are playing at home. We have been in and had a chance to win all 3 of our home games this season.
2. It's the Cleveland Browns (Not the same old Browns?)
If you will? Forget about the matchup of the Brown's offense vs. Our defense for a second.
Let's look at that (Not the same Old Brown's defense).
Rankings: (reminder) There are 32 teams in the NFL.
#32- Overall- (413 ypg)
#30- Pts allowed- (30.5 ppg)
#29- Pass D- (263.5 ypg)
#30- Rush D- (149.5 ypg)
#30- Sacks (6)
Their defense has allowed 33 plays of 20+ yards and 2 of 40+ yards.
They have 9 takeaways but a turnover ratio of -4.
Without going into details, I really believe that our defense will hold up against the Brown's offense just fine.
I know I've been saying every week that this is the game to get into the win column.
THIS IS THE GAME.
Predict the score;
RAMS 41 Browns 27

Re: So what happens when a bad offense goes up against a bad defense?
I agree, between this, the Saints and the Falcons games, are our best chances for wins. The Browns had a bye going into this game so they'll be a bit healthier, but Jamal Lewis isn't the same back who rushed for 2000 yards, and Anderson isn't exactly Tom Brady. As long as we can cover Edwards and Winslow(he's the guy I'm worried about) I think we have an ok shot at shutting them down. Look at the Seahawks game; even with the offensive turnovers in our own territory, our defense held them fairly well.
As for the other way around, these guys have a rather bad defense that we should be able to strike against, especially with Jackson back in the lineup. Reading his blog on ESPN shows that he really just wants to go out and hit somebody and get some points, so I think we win if he's back and we still have a shot if he's not.
Predict: Rams:24(wait, make that 28, Wilkins would be lucky to hit the dome from inside) Browns: 17

I'll be totally shocked if we hang 41 points on anyone this year. Nevertheless, I really hope you are right Laramo !!

It's nice to be going against a sorry D, but out of curiosity, anybody know where Seattle's D is ranked? Kuz we only put up 6 on them. Our offense has a way of making average players look like superstars.

Ah, yes...
The classic battle between the resistible force and the movable object.
Quite intriguing.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

what happens is you finally get your moneys worth, the Rams will score some points and so will the Browns, so it comes down to a Wilkins field goal to win the game.

Re: So what happens when a bad offense goes up against a bad defense?
The Rams should be able to win this one, Their offense to me seems like its a playmaking offense, one that should be able to score plenty of points, 30+ against the worst teams. Rams shouldnt be 0-7...Well heck, the Brownies arent doing so bad, but I think the Rams will take this one with a Win.

This is one of our best chances left in our schedule to pick up a win. I believe we have a good chance at doing so as long as the o-line can open some lanes for jackson and give bulger a couple seconds to make some plays. If we can score more then 20 points i think we will win.

Re: So what happens when a bad offense goes up against a bad defense?
The past 2 games for the rams they havent scored a touchdown. And their Points per game avg is 11.3 I think the Rams will need up to 30 points to defeat the Browns, and with an 11.3 avg. and not scoring a single touchdown in the past 2 games, I'm not sure what to expect.

Re: So what happens when a bad offense goes up against a bad defense?
Browns fan here, and I'm coming to the game from Cleveland. Never been to St. Louis, looking forward to it.
Anyhow, the Browns have struggled to stop the run, and our pass rush has been invisible. Our D-line is one of the league's worst. As Browns fans know, our team had too may holes to fill going into this year, and the D-line problem was ignored. I read here in the paper that your O-line is hurting.
So I guess it will come down to who wins the trenches between our D-line & your O-line. I'm a big-time homer, so I'm going with
Cleveland 31
Rams 20
