Softli: Sources say Dolphins more interested in Fisher than Rams
Per Tony Softli:
While I dont find Softli particularly credible, I thought I'd pass this one along.League sources say Miami Dolphins have a heavier interest in Coach Fisher then the St. Louis Rams at this point. Fisher visit is important
Not sure what to make of it. If this is the case, Id imagine he'd prefer to go to MIA over StL? So much back and forth I am going nuts. I just want the guy to make a decision so we know who our next HC is, or if we need to move on to our other candidates. Im getting punchy. Hopefully tomorrow's interview goes awesome.

Re: Softli: Sources say Dolphins more interested in Fisher than Rams
When Fisher was visiting Miami he had an 80% chance to land in STL. When in STL/Denver, he will most likely land in Miami... coincidence? I dont think so... Trying to bargain for best deal possible.

Re: Softli: Sources say Dolphins more interested in Fisher than Rams
All this speculation is a little bit absurd. If you believe everything you hear in the media, the discussions must go something like this:
Fisher: "I don't love your quarterback. Can we extend my stay for three days, so that I can see everything that you guys have going on?"
Kroenke: "Oh, we don't really want you to be our coach that much. That's why I'm going to personally flying out to Denver to meet with you."
Fisher: "Well, I'm kind of thinking that Miami sounds nice. Would you and your wife like to go house-hunting with us in St. Louis?"
Kroenke: "Only if you'll help us interview for our GM position. I've lined up the guys you recommended. Oh, we're also scheduling a second interview for the guy we're thinking about hiring in your place. Want to join for that as well?"

Re: Softli: Sources say Dolphins more interested in Fisher than Rams
The continued citing of 'League Sources' in the reporting of this coaching chase is increasingly dumb.
At this point, nobody knows anything, everybody is guessing, and 'League Sources' is just the decorated way of saying: 'I made it up.'

Re: Softli: Sources say Dolphins more interested in Fisher than Rams
Ive had a headache with it all. The rumors which first surfaced the day Fisher went to Denver for interview with Kroenke. They contradicted each other. Im not in love with Bradford, Fisher prefers his QB's to be able to run. Then you hear his dream job is in the Chicago and he LOVES QB Jay Cutler.
Ive definitely learnt my lesson with all these internet rumours, and this blogging lark recently.?

Re: Softli: Sources say Dolphins more interested in Fisher than Rams
Maybe this is a reference to the reports Miami is willing to pay more... Two days of interviews and another visit today tells me the Rams want Fisher.

Re: Softli: Sources say Dolphins more interested in Fisher than Rams
Those sources probably base that on the fact Miami seems willing to give Fischer blank checks for his salary, and figures if the rams prefer to pay something more reasonable they must not be interested

Re: Softli: Sources say Dolphins more interested in Fisher than Rams
How did they determine that? Because Miami said they would outbid us?

Re: Softli: Sources say Dolphins more interested in Fisher than Rams
While I have no sources, except myself, I just wanted to add my two cents (which is probably 2 cents more than it's worth). Given Fisher's personality, I would think the Rams job would be more appealing. Miami is a circus. The owner has sold small bits of the team to entertainers to "glam-up" the teams image. I think Fisher wants to be able to concentrate on football. I just don't picture Fisher as a South Beach kind of guy. Rex Ryan? Sure. But not Fisher. Just my thoughts.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!

Put yourself in Fishers shoes. What would you do?

Re: Softli: Sources say Dolphins more interested in Fisher than Rams
To further this, Peter King last night said the Rams are handling the search much better. He said the Dolphins are in fact more interested in Fisher, but only because they view him as the only option, whereas the Rams are handling the search like a normal team. They have plenty of backups.
I have got to be honest, whether Fisher comes here or not, I think Miami is going to make him an offer that would make him the top ONE paid coach in the NFL..which is insane. Then it will just be a matter of does Fisher leave that $ on the table.

Re: Softli: Sources say Dolphins more interested in Fisher than Rams
Fixed it for you, but I think you've nailed it.
The reports indicate Miami will pay any price for Fisher's services and will one-up any other organization. The Rams, I suspect, are very interested but aren't as desperate as the Dolphins appear to be.
When looking for a long-term relationship, there's something to be said about the girl who is interested but plays it cool versus the girl who is interested and gives it up on the first date.
