Some 2011 stats that might ease the pain.

    1. Darian Stewart was 3rd among the league's DBs in sacks.

    2. Quintin Mikell led the league's DBs, and was 3rd overall, in Forced Fumbles.

    3. James Laurinaitis was 3rd in the league in Solo Tackles, and led all NFC 4-3 MLBs in Solo Tackles.

    4. James Laurinaitis is the ONLY player in the league with at least 135 tackles and multiple sacks & interceptions.

    5. Chris Long was 4th among NFL D-linemen for sacks.

    6. Josh Gordy was 3rd among 2nd year CBs in interceptions.

    7. S-Jax was 2nd in the NFL in fumble percentage.

    8. S-Jax was 5th in NFC rushing yards.

    9. Danario Alexander is one of 12 NFC receivers with at least 20 receptions and 16.0 yards per catch.

    10. With a .590 opponent winning percentage, the Ram's had the toughest schedule in the NFL.

    11. Sam Bradford had the 3rd lowest Interception Percentage in the league.

I actually think number 11 is the best thing on that list. With all of our line and WR woes, the fact a 2nd year QB protected the ball instead of just flinging it to any set of open arms makes me a happy camper.

Low int numbers but not so high td numbers, but you are right he is smart in deciding whenever to let the ball go or hold onto it.

Sam doesn't throw INT's. Cant wait to watch the kid next year. 40 + TD's, 10 or less INT's.

I think Darian Stewart is going to be a real breakout player next season. It seems like he improves every time i see him.

I hope Fisher like Darien,he seems like some1 Spags liked and maybe forced into the lineup more than he deserved at first. But he did grow on me and played good at times i just wonder how much of it was because we have no1 competing with him for the job we found reasons to be happy with him??Again not bashing him i like him but this seems like a reason for why we might value him more than hes worth.

Sorry but i don't think so. Stewart started roughly but improved as the season went on. The guy can pass rush, is getting better in coverage, and not only tackle but hit well. Also, he makes the calls in the secondary. Once Stewart took over the calls in the secondary from Quinten Mikell, Stewart and Mikell's play both improved.

You could argue that he needs to be replaced, but look at the safeties that Gregg Williams likes to have in his scheme. Darrien Stewart is like Roman Harper if Harper could cover
Also, we have so many other positions that could do with upgrades to concentrate on replacing a player that has played well. It's not like we are talking about replacing Craig Dahl or James Butler here

We definitely have bright spots on defense. It seems with the toughest schedule along with bad play calling and early key injuries, there was no hope this season.

Jeff Fisher definitely has a nice foundation to work with. Next season is going to be very interesting......

I was actually doing some math on bradfords numbers the other day. If you transpose Bradfords interceptions numbers this year to passes rookie year. He would have had less than 10 interceptions this year if he played the whole season.

Okay, yeah, 3rd in interceptions among 2nd year defensive backs is something. It's kind of like being third runner-up to Rookie Defensive Player of the Year...only not quite as fancy.

    It's better than being 4th.

It's also better than 6 of the 7 first round DBs in last year's draft.

    So, yeah, that IS something.
