    Some KFFL Rams Notes

    Thu, 20 Apr 2006 14:47:12 -0700

Free agent P Andy Groom (Redskins) is currently working out with the St. Louis Rams during their minicamp with hopes of landing a job with the team.

Rams | Saipaia to get a shot
    Thu, 20 Apr 2006 12:21:14 -0700

Nick Wagoner, of StLouisRams.com, reports the St. Louis Rams view G Blaine Saipaia as a utility man able to fill in anywhere on the line. Still, the team will give him a chance to compete at guard, which they believe is his best position.

Rams | Incognito shows up in great shape
    Thu, 20 Apr 2006 12:20:28 -0700

Nick Wagoner, of StLouisRams.com, reports St. Louis Rams C Richie Incognito has lost a lot of weight and is in great shape. The team would like to work him out at both center and guard in hopes that he might challenge for a starting spot in the near future.

Rams | Terrell not out of the picture
    Thu, 20 Apr 2006 12:19:37 -0700

Nick Wagoner, of StLouisRams.com, reports despite St. Louis Rams G Claude Terrell arriving at camp overweight and out of condition, he still has the inside track to be the team's starting left guard. While a punishing run blocker, the team is concerned about his ability to move in space.

Rams | McCollum still a starter
    Thu, 20 Apr 2006 12:18:08 -0700

Nick Wagoner, of StLouisRams.com, reports St. Louis Rams C Andy McCollum (collarbone, knee) is attempting to rehab from a series of minor surgeries in the offseason. He is still expected to be the team's starting center next season.

Rams | Timmerman, iron man healthy again
    Thu, 20 Apr 2006 12:14:35 -0700

Nick Wagoner, of StLouisRams.com, reports St. Louis Rams G Adam Timmerman is healthy this offseason and able to workout without restrictions. This should lead to an improvement over last season's sub-par performance in which Timmerman was often replaced by G Claude Terrell. Timmerman has played in 185 straight games. He is expected to once again be a starter next season.

I hope Timmerman keeps that games streak by playing all 16 games, playoff games, and the superbowl game in the 06 season

I'm disappointed in "Clod" Terrell showing up at camp looking like the Pillsbury Doughboy. Well now that Pace is signed looks like we have a new candidate for the fabled "Fat Boy" title. Sigh, I was hoping to permanently retire that canard. Oh well.

    WHAT SAY YE?

    Thanks for the report, .Ramfan.

Yes, good to learn about Richie Incognito being in 'great shape'. It may be sooner than later that he is placed as a regular on our OL.

As for Terrell, I trust the Rams training department will get him into form. Seems he's a naturally BIG man, so I wonder how much he weighs when he's considered "overweight"?

    350? hone:

Good too see Incognito coming in fit, and to see Saipaia get a shot. With Terrell being out of shape, i think Incognito and Sapaia might see themselves in starting positions, with McCollom losing out to Incognito maybe.

hoping for chester or degory in the draft and seeing the "cog" play OG where he would have more freedom to rag some D-linemen but certainly great to see him in good shape!

not concerned about big claude, im sure hell be fine to continue his development after a promising showing last year!

these two will be great to have on our roster even if its just for mentoring our young studs on O-line,both great pros and hopefully still have a lil left in the tank to see their fair share of playing time!
