Some Perspective - Things Are Tough All Over

Yes, the Rams have problems, but at this point, who doesn't?

Only 4 out of 16 teams in the NFC (Eagles, Seahawks, Lions and Falcons) have made it through the first two weeks of the season without a loss.

    Meanwhile...

In Carolina, the Panthers have lost Stephen Davis for several weeks and Steve Smith for the year...

In Green Bay, the Packers lost at home to Chicago and now have to go to Indianapolis (yes, Brett, a dome stadium)...

In Dallas, the Cowboys were blown out by the Vikings in week 1 then lost Julius Jones to injury in week 2...

In Washington, the Redskins lost Brunell to injury this week and were beaten quite easily by the Giants...

In New Orleans, the Saints lost Deuce McCallister to injury for 4-5 weeks...

In Tampa Bay, the Bucs are 0-2 and have to go on the road this week...

Those are but a few examples.

The point is, the team that ultimately emerges and goes to the Super Bowl will not be a team that avoids adversity all year, but rather the team that overcomes adversity.

I'm not willing to pack it in yet by no means. However, it sometimes comes to a point that you just have to say Ok, maybe we aren't that good. Williams is not going to be a good O lineman, he's less of an O lineman than St. Clair was. Dishman is still trying to get in shape. Our running game is going to be a non-factor on the road all year.

Defensively, the DT's aren't playing up to first round status. The LB's outside of Pisa just don't seem to have that fire about them. We are very banged up in the secondary with really no help on the horizon. Not saying the sky is falling, but maybe we just aren't as talented as some seem to say in here.

To that list, you can add the Vikings Rosenthal, starting right tackle (Broken leg). Haayer (back-up) got eaten up last night and this will be a MAJOR blow to the Vikings. They already have enough injury problems.

Well, I guess if the DT's wake up and play up to their potential.....and the secondary gets healthy we have a shot. I'm not sold on our LB's outside of Pisa though. The only ex-Ram I truly miss is London Fletcher.

What is this? A "I-cried-because-I-had-no-shoes-until-I-saw-someone-who-had-no-feet" thread? Perspective? They still lost. Could lose next week too. Might go on losing despite other teams' injuries.

Can't eat perspective. I say man the lifeboats. Children and women last. In that order.

    Then again. Maybe not.

Why... when I was your age... I had nothing to eat but dirt!

You had dirt? We didn't even have dirt! We had to go to bed hungry every night!

    You had a bed!?!

    Hee-hee-hee-hee. That's funny ... but again, point(s) well taken.

    Meanwhile,

In New Orleans, the Saints lost Deuce McCallister to injury for 4-5 weeks... -- AvengerRam
AND in N. O., the Saints are marching their way out towards the house of the ANGRY Rams. :angryram:

I hope we're really, really mad!
