    Something pretty impressive ...

A breakdown of what the Ram ROOKIES did against Seahawks:

    1. Bradford - Don't even need to discuss this awesomeness
    2. Saffold - Keep Bradford pretty darn clean again. He's going to be a rock on the left side for a decade.
    3. Murphy - Played solid in the dime slot, and had an awesome ST tackle.
    4. Gilyard - 2 catches for 13 yards, and looked nice as a gunner.
    5. Onobun - Didn't show up in the stats, but you know the Seahawks were accounting for this mismatch.
    6. Sims - Deflected the pass that Fletcher picked off.
    7. Selvie - Saw major PT in 2nd half. I like the rotation of DE's, that has to be said. Got regular pressure, and had a half sack. This guy is a steal.
    8. Cudjo - Seemed to make a huge difference stuffing the run when he was in there. Is showing he can be a pocket collapser on passing downs. Another potential huge steal!

Bottom line, they are ALL contributing! How awesome is that?

They have/are putting weight on Selvie. He already had an incredibly quick step. He reminds me of Leonard Little in some regards, albeit not quick as quick and a bit stronger ....

Selvie looks like a beast for sure. Would like to see Sims in there more cause the mere presence of swatting that ball on the 3rd and 1 was a great play.

the last two drafts are really looking good. Devaney and his staff have made a huge difference. We've gone from some of the worst drafts in franchise history to two good drafts in a row.

Good points. It's a nice feeling to be able to get pretty quick contributions from much of your rookie class, especially considering how dismal some previous classes have turned out for this team.

I know that Fletcher is a second year player, but he might as well be a rookie. This guy has been been getting tested at all year long and for the most part is doing a really good job.

    Re: Something pretty impressive ...

Great thread! My favoriite thing about the rookies besides their rapid contributions is the fact they come out and play hard. They dont know their not supposed to develop this fast. They dont know their not going to win any games, especially within the division. They dont know this team will be respectable until 2-3 years from now and success cannot come the disastrous Rams. They just come out and get it DONE, and get it done well at that. The mentality of KNOWING you can make things happen is whats driving them. Between watching the 2nd half on a tv in the far corner of the bar and the smoke filled air, you could've sworn these guys have played together for years. Damn it feels good to have fundamentals back with this team!
