Sounds like Draft is on the way

This is coming from Rotoworld/Herald online and a reporter that covers the Panthers.

    Draft agrees with Rams

Submitted by Darin on Mon, 2007-03-19 19:16.

Panthers free agent LB Chris Draft has agreed to a multi-year deal with St. Louis, and is headed back there to sign in the coming days.

Draft was a starting caliber player here, though he was brought in as a reserve. He came in handy, filling in admirably for Dan Morgan and leading the team in tackles last year.

Even though there's probably not a starting job for him there, it's a good fit. He also had an offer from Atlanta, and explored coming back here.

Very good signing. I think he's definitely in the mix for the starting SAM linebacker job with Chillar. Everything I heard about Draft was that he was looking for a place where he was going to be able to contribute on the field.
