Sources: Fisher using Rams as leverage over Miami

Sources in Miami say meeting between Kroenke and Fisher is a leverage play by Demoff Fisher agent, to gather more control of Dolphins org!

If meeting today with Fisher & Kroenke dosent go well, look for Rams brass to move quickly to their comprehensive list of candidates...

I must be honest, I had a sinking feeling last night before I went to bad, and after reading these comments it is more than ever. I was heavily optimistic we could land him, but over the last few days don't think we are going to. I feel like usually the "front-runner" in the media never works out. Remember when Jason Garret was all but guaranteed the HC job here? Or when we were the "Front-runners" to land Michael Vick? I hope I am wrong, but I get a feeling we will not be getting Fisher, so I have already prepared myself.

Can't say I do. But I'm really old.

Its not a coincidence that "press" and "guess" rhyme.
Re: Sources: Fisher using Rams as leverage over Miami
The more I think about it, I'd rather the Dolphins win this one anyway. I've just got this feeling that Jeff Fisher is just an experienced Steve Spagnuolo.

Really? Just because he has a defensive pedigree? Or something else? The guy lasted 16 years as a head coach in one place and never had the greatest of setups, yet still was successful. What could you find wrong with him?

Why would Jeff Fisher need to use the Rams to get more control? Did it not go well? Did the Fins not give Fisher everything he wanted?
So it's about control not money?
Bottom line is no one knows what they offered and Fisher like any of us would want to hear what is the best fit period.

There's nothing necessarily wrong with him, I just wonder how conservative he is in his philosophy. Like him being a strong proponent of the power running game, I wonder how that will mesh with McDaniel's (if he's retained) need to zing the ball all over the place. That's all. I just wonder how much different he is than Spags.
Truth be told, I would definitely prefer the ressurrection of the GSOT over Ground Chuck going forward.

It's actually a great question. I'm alot more comfortable with us bringing in a guy with HC experience and that's the huge advantage Fisher has over Spags. I really believe that Spags will be a successful headcoach someday and he gained some experience at it at our expense.

i will never understand how people get this information wat do they phone interview jeff fisher and ask him which way he is leaning or is it pure speculation
How does one find out about this information when fisher didn complete his interview with the rams?
Re: Sources: Fisher using Rams as leverage over Miami
Could be just a ploy by his agent to leak this out as a way to say he wants the Rams to increase the money in their offer? Who really knows.

"Hearing"? From who? Mike Silver at Yahoo Sports?
Fisher may end up with Miami, but I'm pretty confident that nobody in the media KNOWS anything at this point.

@MizzouDego: Your guess on Fisher? ... Hard to know till intvw w/Kroenke ends today. Gun to head, I'd say
Rams.

Per Rams sources when asked about Coach Fisher leaning towards Miami, it's hard to say that before he meets with us.

If Rams do end up hiring Jeff Fisher as head coach, league sources say he probably would not retain Josh McDaniels as offensive coordinator.
