Re: Sources: Fisher using Rams as leverage over Miami
If this is indeed true, and the Rams are being used as pawns, I would imagine there will some interesting dinner conversations at future Demoff family get-togethers.

Re: Sources: Fisher using Rams as leverage over Miami
We now have a Twitter-battle going with Jay Glazer (thinks the Rams have the edge) vs. Mike Silver (thinks the Dolphins have the edge). Silver has acknowledged that he'll have to reevaluate after the Rams' meeting concludes.
Now, if we could get Glazer and Silver to fight for it, we'd be in good shape (as Glazer's hobby is MMA).
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Sources: Fisher using Rams as leverage over Miami
My sources tell me that Jeff Fisher is currently in Denver riding in a limo that is driving to the Southeast. As Fisher is seated on the left side of the car and has his weight centered toward the window, he is indeed leaning toward St. Louis.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Sources: Fisher using Rams as leverage over Miami
I dont know about anyone else, but i want a winning team. Whether its ground chuck or gsot is not the point to me. I want to win. Anyone that can facilitate winning, by any means within the rules, is fine with me. There is no comparison between a coordinator with zero head coaching experience and a successful nfl head coach for over ten years that came within one foot of winning a superbowl.

Speculation thats all it is,we just need to sit tight and wait at least till the interview is over before we make any assumptions.

Re: Sources: Fisher using Rams as leverage over Miami
Well Spags won a superbowl against arguably the best regular season team in history, if you want to get technical. So there is a comparison if someone wanted to make one.
For the record however, I was not making a comparison between the coaches, but rather pointing out their simularities. Which is scary to me, given my disagreement with Spags philosophy. I don't expect everybody to agree with that, so I'm fine with the fact that you don't. But don't try to make it seem as if I don't get the point in all of this. It is crystal clear to me that winning is of the essence.
But I still want to see exciting Rams football while they win.
Is there something wrong with that?

Several reports say Fisher will meet with Kroenke in Denver Thursday. Rumors Fisher will get from airport to meeting in a hot air balloon.
The most awesome part is that Fisher isn't sold on Bradford being a starting QB but he wants to go to a team that has their starting QB in place. So that means he IS sold on the Miami QBs? Matt Moore and or Chad Henne are NFL studs Fisher knows are ready to take the Dolphins to the playoffs?Last edited by RebelYell; -01-05-2012 at 05:42 PM.

Re: Sources: Fisher using Rams as leverage over Miami
I'm not even concerned if he spurns the Rams.
Fix the front office.
There is a reason the Patriots have been the class of the league for the last decade and its not because Belchick is only a great coach, its because he understands team building.
If anyone wants to look at a larger sample, take a look at the Steelers, its their FO that has lead to great success.
As a matter of fact, take a look at any great organization in sports, its the front office, not the coach responsible for sustained excellence.
A coach is important, but I think its more important they assemble the organization correctly.

[QUOTE=r8rh8rmike;411251Oh, and that successful coach came within one foot of potentially tying the Super Bowl.

Not to nitpick or anything but I thought the replay clearly showed it was one yard...
