St. Louis Rams interested in the Hall of Fame game

On August 6, 2011, two Rams franchise greats will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame: RB Marshall Faulk and LB Les Richter. Traditionally the HOF celebration is accompanied by the opening shot of preseason action with two teams facing off in the annual Hall of Fame game. Fox Sports is reporting that the St Louis Rams have strong interest in Hall of fame game on 08 - 06 - 2011.
This of course comes with the giant asterisk that hangs over all NFL events right now: the lockout. No football, no need for a preseason game. At the very least the Hall of Fame induction will continue.
The last time the Rams played in the Hall of Fame game was 2001, when franchise greats Jackie Slater and Jack Youngblood were inducted. The teams selected usually have some tie-in with the inductees. Teams haven't been picked yet for this year's game.

I am seriously considering going just to see Marshall inducted. Having the team play would be a huge bonus!

I already have my tickets for the induction ceremony and am hoping for the Rams to play in the game.

Not only would it be good to have the Rams there for the two inductees, but I'm all for this young team getting an extra preseason game to help develop and scout players!

I would love to see us in this game... altho I dont think we will have football until like week 2-4 of the season...

I always watch the Hall of Fame Game since I'm so starved for football by that time. It would be that much better if we were in it. I hope so much we're playing in it this year! (because that means there's actually football)
