This is true, but you have to agree that it makes him less of a "sure bet" than he's purported to have been by many including myself.

On that note, the Mangini hiring in Cleveland is, IMHO, genius. His fingerprints are all over that New York team and despite the fact that they didn't have as much success this season as expected this season as a result of Brett Favre's sudden decline toward the end of the year. He built that OL and if they're to have any future success it will be as a result of his work. It seems the problem he had was finding a successful QB and Brady Quinn will have the first chance to be that in Cleveland.
