Re: A statue outside OUR HOME??? we NEED one

What about a statue of Georgia? That should get some Cali fans riled up.

    LOL

While those responsible for this set up may have had their hearts in the right place, their heads were out to lunch. THIS IS THE RAMS BUILDING and should reflect as such. Cardinals players of the past should be honored in the stadium in Phoenix. You don't see names of the old Cleveland Rams in the Browns ring of honor, do you?

And speaking objectively and as one who's seen 15 stadiums in person, the Rams have one of the ugliest stadiums in football- not distinguished or aesthetically pleasing in the least. It's really too bad, because I'd love to see the Rams with a beautiful, state of the art building with tributes to the great history of this franchise.. It will take a lot more than a statue to spruce up the place, but it would be a start.
I couldn't agree more, its the rams stadium. Totally bizare. A PR stunt to try and warm the population to the team when it first came to town??

I think a statue should reflect something more than a moment in history. I'd rather recognize people who contributed to the team over a long period of time.

    Ideas:

A statue depicting the fearsome foursome.

A statue of Elroy Hirsh in "crazy legs" stance.

    A statue of Jack Youngblood.

    A statue of Jackie Slater.

    A statue of Carol Rosenbloom.

A statue titled GSOT showing Warner, Pace, Bruce, Faulk and Holt.

    Another idea...

How about a statue of two bighorn rams clashing horns?

I've got a twist. How about a large statue of the Lombardy trophy with the names of every member of that "99" squad on the bottom portion for gatherers to read. Then, because there are quite a few great trophy suggestions, huge pictures of all those memories mentioned, on the walls outside the Dome. "The Handoff", "The Tackle", "The Proehl Catch", "The Bruce Catch", etc. Passers by would be able to see those great moments as large encased photos hung on the side of the Dome, and THE trophy sitting on the sidewalk outside the door next to the game day event area.

What a great picture taking area for all relish !!!!

You heard it here first folks

Seriously if u wana represetn the GSOT and the older ram fans from LA then put the statue of the Bob-n-weave up and put up a statue of the great Deacon Jones.

Maybe our stadium wouldnt look condemned when there is nothing going on there.

How about a statue commemorating the "infamous" day the Rams cut their two time NFL MVP while he was in his prime?

Hey Rebel, I just came out from under my rock about a month ago. I was wondering when you would pop in. Amazing that I can't find a post from you when the Cardinals were tanking down the stretch during the regular season but oh well.

I think it should be a zombie or a werewolf so that opposing fans are scared to come in.
