Steven Jackson
Hopefully Jackson is convincing a lot of his doubters that drafting Mcfadden would be a mistake. In the last five games Jackson has amassed 512 yds and at a 4.7 average. He's making big plays and his vision seems to be terrific. Even though he missed 4 games due to injury he is still 18th in total rush yds in the NFL. Not too bad for missing four games. Obviousley he was slowed by the injury but is coming on and is a complete beast out there. So how about we draft someone we need and not waste a pick on Mcfadden.

Re: Steven Jackson
great post and I totally agree, this offense must start and end with him,I don't understand why he is out of the game in some key situations because he is such a beast, but we must get him signed to a hugh deal and fix the o-line and turn SJ loose. We must build this offense around him and Pittman is a fine #2 guy, no need to look for a back in the draft.

Re: Steven Jackson
Right now, we can only guess as to where we will pick in the top ten. If we pick at #3 or #4, and Chris Long and Dorsey are off the board with McFadden still available, this would probably be a scenario where we could trade down. If McFadden has a dynamite bowl game and aces the combine, there could be several teams who would want to move up and grab him. That said, I hope we somehow can bag Chris Long and re-sign Jackson.

Re: Steven Jackson
That is probably my main knock on Jackson. for being such a "feature back," he seems to be on the sidelines an awful lot. And it's not like in Minnesota or Jacksonville where we have a two-headed monster in the backfield. Although we may one day soon with the way pittman is coming on.

Re: Steven Jackson
There's no questioning Jackson's ability. My concern is that, after next year, we'll need to break the bank to re-sign him.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Steven Jackson
I know thats a concern but Won't we break the bank on an unknown commodity in Mcfadden if we drafted him in the top five. I say the Rams try and resign Jackson this year after a sub-par year and lock him up with a contract that would be less than after next year if he blows up next year and we really have to break the bank.

Re: Steven Jackson

Re: Steven Jackson
McFadden will want 30+ Million in bonuses. I'd much prefer to give that to a 25 year old Jackson than an unproven rookie with major potential. I do, however think that Run DMC and S-Jax in the backfield together for one season would be amazing.
But, need should prevail over relative value; Ladies and Gents; introducing Chris Long.

Yeah...honestly, all I know is that Steven Jackson deserves his paycheck and a damn good contract from the Rams.

Re: Steven Jackson
I say brake the bank, who on our team is more vauable. He is sounding very frustrated, I wonder if he would want to re-sign with the rams. I would not be surprise if he ask out of st lou.
