Is Steven Jackson an "All-Time Rams Great"?

Has Steven Jackson reached the point where he can be regarded as one of the "All-Time Great" Ram players? The type of guy you consider for the "Ring of Fame" and mention in the same sentence as HOFs like Marshall Faulk and Eric Dickerson?

He is one of our alltime great players but I wouldn't put him in the Ring Of Fame yet.

I'd have to go with yes. What has he not accomplished besides a ring? His statistics are better than any other Rams RB, yes he beats Marshall Faulk and Eric Dickerson. Not sure if he is better but he is already our all-time highest rusher. I think he will have 3 more 1,000 yard seasons which would put him at about 11,000 for his career. The only thing he needs to be considered into the NFL's HOF is touchdowns and a couple playoff appearances.

The man was born to play for Tom Landry. What a goof up that he had to waste his prime surrounded by idiots.

Five years after he hangs up his cleats Jackson will be lost in a pile of stats and political agendas. Heart and class don't outweigh winning.

Yes, he is. He's still the 3rd Rams RB mentioned, but he absolutely is in the same sentence.

Rams' all-time leading rusher, mutiple pro bowls, loads of heart and a career Ram. No question, he's an "All-Time Great" Rams player.

Your name says it all, and if it doesn't, this video of highlights does. It always gets me pumped:

Thanks for putting the great video, Mike!

First thing that my brain produced as soon as I read the Thread title was: "No, not quite yet".

THIS season, a productive ProBowl year with a refurbished offense / OC ... this year: JAX!

If Steven is the rams leading rusher then he should be known as an all time great ram player.

Re: Is Steven Jackson an "All-Time Rams Great"?

how far down the rankings do you go before you stop calling a player an All-Time franchise great?

Dickerson and Faulk are all-time NFL greats who are in the Hall of Fame. Since they were Rams arguably in their prime, that's who Jackson will be compared to. IMO to break into the all-time greats of the franchise, you MUST be in the NFL Hall of Fame and Jackson isn't in those reaches. Statistically, Jackson is very similar to a Garrison Hearst.
