Stupid Penalties!!!

Well, I hope everyone is equally as happy this week with the on the edge chippy play. Looks like if you are going to live by it then you are going to die by it as well. We really killed ourselves in the first half. We were off the field both times they scored. 10 point deficit over stupid on the edge play. And while I'm at it; Who in the heck just pushes the punter down after he has punted the ball? I mean who does that? BONEHEAD!!!

Hopefully we don't develop a bad rap. If we do, and the refs are looking for it, then every marginal call will go against us. Last weeks rant by the national media darling (rg3) didn't help matters.

I don't know if we would have been able to score enough points with the beleaguered O-line, but it sure would have been nice to keep the game close, without the chippy stuff penalties.

Edgy doesn't mean stupid. Edgy is how the Ravens defense plays, stupid is how the Faiders defense plays. We just need to emulate the Ravens, and NOT the Faiders.

I agree. Those were boneheaded easy calls for even the replacement officials. Both players should be benched, if not waived. We cannot allow play like that to be blown off.

There is no denying those penalties were absolutely inexcueable, and played a part in how the game played out. Simply maddening.

Like the past 5 years, the Rams continue to beat themselves.

These penalties are the byproduct of a young team who is being taught to play the game with a chip on their shoulder. They are going to sometimes cross the line, and it is up to the coaches to make sure their play is good, hard-nosed football and not stupid, dirty football. Today, we cost ourselves with stupidity, and that cannot happen. Few teams are good enough to overcome repeated lack of good judgment; we certainly aren't.
