Welcome to Fall of Nations, a browser-based game of strategy, guile, and determination. As a newcomer to the game, to call your forces an army is a great injustice. You have no soldiers, few resources, and no authority in the universe of Fall of Nations. Your mission is to mend a reputation as a powerful figure in the game by amounting soldiers, collecting resources, and slaying all those who oppose you. Dare you be an arrogant and ambitious leader, let your mission be to become the most powerful figure in Fall of Nations.
I have never played an online game before and this is great fun. and its free

Re: A Sunday without a Rams game is like...
Yeah, it was. But I did find out something....without the Rams game today, my kitchen, living room, and bedroom are all clean now. Not only did we do some needed cleaning (transformed from the style of 'late 20th century clutter with a variation of mess by 4-year-old' to 'post-apcolyptic clutter without influence of afore-mentioned 4-year-old'...) but I had my son help me carry in a 400-pound oak credenza into the master bedroom. I figure it will work great as a dresser (with enough room for a lot of me & mama's clothes), but with the lighted display area, I now have room for more Rams stuff. Time to hunt down more Rams memorabilia....

...is like making smores with cardboard, tofu, & baking chocolate.
So I'm in church Sunday morning and the last amen is has just come from the pulpit. I grab the baby with one arm, the wife with the other and start racing out the door. Then it hit me...the Rams aren't on today. No need to rush, nothing to run home to. We stuck around, talked to friends I hadn't seen since preseason, went out for lunch and casually meandered home to see the last quarter of the Pats-Hawks game.
It was nice taking my time getting home, but I'd still rather be watching my Rams at 12:01pm CST on a Sunday afternoon."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod
