Re: talking with a Charger fan about our past drafts.
You should have asked him about Drew Brees, Charlie Whitehurst, Tay Cody, Antoine Cason, Rogers Beckett, Craig Davis, Ben Leber, Igor Olshansky, Antonio Cromartie, LT, and Sammy Davis, among others.
Not to mention his two steroid picks, Castillo and Merriman.
The point I am making is, the Rams' travails in the draft are not unique. It's just that you, being a Ram fan, are more familiar with their blunders. Every team has bad picks in the first 3 rounds, or has players that move on to successful careers with other teams. The Rams are pretty typical in that regard.
And, yes, I am an somewhat of an expert on the subject.

Okay I thought you said they were all busts. Antone Cason is my a bust though; he will get his first start this yr now that cromartie is gone

Re: talking with a Charger fan about our past drafts.
Dude.. folks defending Carriker, Candidate.. jeez. These guys did something for us? Really? All of those guys were busts with the exception of Tino..
And Molotov..
"Drew Brees, Charlie Whitehurst, Tay Cody, Antoine Cason, Rogers Beckett, Craig Davis, Ben Leber, Igor Olshansky, Antonio Cromartie, LT, and Sammy Davis, among others."
Yea. We went ahead and asked them. They said Brees is a top 3 qb. Whitehurst is an up and coming stud. Olshansky is still solid for Dallas. LT is one of the best RBs of all time.
Jeez. The fact that they left doesn't mean theyre busts. If you recall the Rams have won 3 out of 40 something games. Quit being a Rams homer and realize that we've sucked for years, and not because we've made quality draft picks. Endless optimism isn't going to help anything. If you want to be completely illogical and irrational I'm sure Lawrence Phillips has an ear for you to yell at in jail.

Re: talking with a Charger fan about our past drafts.
Archuleta was solid until the back injury. Barron just had problems with false starts but was a solid linemen, Pisa was definitely not a bust...

Re: talking with a Charger fan about our past drafts.
I totally disagree with a draft bust on Pisa. Pisa was the leading tackler and created the rams most fumbles when he was on the team. He got injured a lot. But I think he was far from a bust, he did the best on a crappy team.

Re: talking with a Charger fan about our past drafts.
I dont see archuleta as a bust, he gave us some solid years when he wasnt bogged with injuries. For that draft pick and the years he gave us, he was solid. He was one of my favorite players of our GSOT/Post GSOT era
