Out of interest Av, are these the stats from this year, or are these the stats from the first five games of these players' careers?

Austin is a playmaker there's no doubt about it. Now if Shotty can figure out a way to get him the ball more we'll all be very happy. It's obvious to me that the more touches Austin gets the chances of him breaking one are greatly increased.

I think it's a combination of draft position and the need for an immediate offensive boost that really makes us want something more from him right away. The coaching staff is obviously trying to gradually get him up to speed with the offense, but he's not doing himself any favors with all his drops.

I think the staff is also still trying to learn the best ways to get him open. It seems that defenses are on top of the short routes and screens that he may have been used to. Maybe we need to get him to run some deeper routes? I'm not entirely sure, but I'm sure the staff will figure it out.

I just read that Tavon Austin leads the league in drops with 7 besting Kembrell Thompkins 6.

Granted their are many factors to this, but the bottom line is the Rams are leaving plays on the field.
