Re: Team claims D. Groce off waivers
assuming that waivers works from the bottom up in terms of last years records, groce sure didnt make it very far up the chain. Easy to see why he would be in demand.

Re: Team claims D. Groce off waivers
varg, who exactly do you want to claim that is better than someone we already have? Not criticizing you, just curious. The trade for goldberg this morning was like a waiver move, costing a conditional low round pick to upgrade our o line depth. I would be surprised if we claimed anyone else, not stunned, but surprised (unless of course some injury happens god forbid)

Maybe we don't have anyone else we want to cut? After all we have to make room for anyone we bring in.

Re: Team claims D. Groce off waivers
IF I was the Rams this is what I would do.
Cut WR/QB/Page Ranking/KR Marques Hagnas
Sign WR/KR/Page Ranking Skyler Green
Trade McDonald for a Veteran Safety

So much for "Hagans could be the next Randle El" huh?
I'm not opposed at all to bringing Green in for a look. But I don't think you're going to find a vet safety worth trading for that will only cost us McDonald.

I'm not sure Holt offers much of an upgrade over Atogwe, personally. I dunno, we could go name by name but I just don't think you're getting much for McDonald, so you may as well keep him.

lol it was sort of a joke actually, but I don't know, I was hoping someone would be like well, we could get so and so. In regard to my post though, it wasn't really meant to be serious at all lol. The trade for Goldberg is great imo, but I don't know, I'd just like to see what other guys we can get for our defense. Not people who were cut, but just trades for high draft picks. I mean, I know we don't need to get a big name player, but it's definitely exciting obtaining big name players. Atleast the experts will like us now if we did :P

Re: Team claims D. Groce off waivers
With the Saints claiming Groce, it's now like we traded him for Fahkir Brown.
I wonder who'll get the best of that deal.

Re: Team claims D. Groce off waivers
excellent analogy fortune. Of course, the trade cost us several million.

Re: Team claims D. Groce off waivers
had the saints or nobody else claimed him, would he have been added to the practice squad (if he even qualified) ?
