Tom Silverstein, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports the National Football League allocated the St. Louis Rams $4,880,531 million under the 2006 rookie salary cap pool, according to a source with access to NFL Players Association salary data.

Tom Silverstein, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports the St. Louis Rams made a bid to sign DT Kenderick Allen before he signed with the Green Bay Packers.

So does that leave about $5.1 mil for FA?

Sounds about right, HUb.

Where would you guys like to see that money spent?

At least one of the following in this order:

1. a 2-gap DT
2. veteran blocking TE
3. veteran SOLB
4. ILB
5. Safety
6. A turkey and cheese sandwich

I'm still somewhat concerned about line depth on both sides of the ball.

Pisa is 6 feet tall and wieghs 235 lbs

Um, not really. Rookies typically don't sign that soon after the draft. If anything, it's normal.

Jerome Carter signed right away.

So? He was the exception, not the rule.
