Tell us about your vintage Rams gear!

I just bought a sick vintage Rams hat online. It's made of corduroy and it's from the LA Rams era of the Mid-80's.

I'm really excited to get it in the post, and it got me thinking about what other kinds of amazing vintage Rams merch must be out there. Among our Clan members alone, I'd bet we could procure a pretty sweet wardrobe.

What kind of amazing old Rams gear do you own?

Nice Cap Bbq, grats on this fine purchase hope you enjoy it! I wear a early 2000's throw back beige' Cap for tennis and have been for a decade and half now it is getting a bit old but cannot replace it... Going to have to up grade one day but it still is serviceable. Only Rams Cap I ever seen on the local So Cal, South Bay courts I play on! Even had people ask if I was from St. Louis before! LOL

Hey BBQ, nice Rams hat -- I have a corduroy one very similar to yours but with a gold horns blue helmet profile to the right of 'Los Angeles'.

One of my Rams items from the mid 80s is this Starter jacket. It has my surname on the right side of the front, opposite Los Angeles Rams.

Thanks for the invite -- great to reminisce L.A. / STL Rams!

    The good times anyway.

Most of my Rams gear is what you would call "vintage". I have two jackets, (one is a Starter jacket like the one posted above) numerous hats, gloves, sweaters, jerseys, all from the Los Angeles days.

I'm keeping it all because I'm pretty sure it will be less "vintage" and more "in style" soon.... LOL

The day that corduroy snap-back hats go back in style is the day that my grandfather becomes the most popular man in America lol

Re: Tell us about your vintage Rams gear!

I work in Madison, Wisconsin. Because I was commuting from Illinois, one of the first questions I was asked was if I was a Bears fan. I said, "Nope, I'm a Rams fan". During football season I hang my 1976 vintage Los Angeles Rams pennant, that I actually bought back then. Being a Rams fan in Packers territory is sort of like being Bahai at a Baptist convention. No one knows exactly what to do with you.

A Canadian who came in on contract commented positively on my "retro" Rams and L.A. Kings pennants (proper yellow and purple). I had to mildly correct him. These are originals. They are not retro.

Besides the pennant, I have some Rams napkins I picked up at dollar store in Connecticut in 1997. They were left over from 1995, the year that all the memorabilia just said "RAMS" ... not L.A., not St. Louis, just Rams. I also had a shirt from that era, but wore it out.

My wife picked up L.A. Rams fabric on a closeout (classic blue and yellow). We haven't decided what to do with it yet.

THIS is the exact same corduroy hat I was talking about. Got it ca. 1987?

It can't be any worse than those goofy looking baseball caps they're wearing these days. The flat brim and the cap over the ears, sitting slight crooked on the head. Now that looks dumb.

Hey, I have big ears, okay! Cap sits just fine.

Seriously, I don't particularly like the fit but I don't wear it (maybe once since I got it 25 years ago). I have it for my Rams display items.

    I hope that's acceptable? LOL

I got the same hat RealRam! Except the material is cotton, but same design. Found it at yard sale a few years back and bargained with the lady for a dollar. I would always get compliments for it. I rock an Eric Dickerson blue jersey as well.

Something I no longer own, but would love to replace was a Los Angeles Rams highball glass. There was a football shaped clear spot on the dark blue (with gilt on the rim) outside. The Rams helmet was visible on the insode through the drink. That was from the late 70s. I drowned my adolescent sorrows from that glass with REAL taco Doritos and gas station Coca-Cola (28 oz leaded-glass returnable bottles) drunk from that glass. One day, it had it out with the dishwasher, and lost, leaving me with only my Ronald Reagan shot glasses.

Re: Tell us about your vintage Rams gear!

I kind of avoided this thread because my "vintage" isn't really vintage, it only goes back to 1995. I have some inaugural St. Louis RAMS cups from Buch Stadium as my oldest stuff. I don't have a place to display my RAMS "crap" (with respect to Miss Jane and the early bashes), so most of it is in containers in the attic.

    Some of the notables:
I have Orlando Pace and Isaac Bruce life sized displays.
A SB Champion RAMS Monopoly game
    RAMS and 49whiners checkers
RAMS Bobbleheads and mini football from Hardies (IIRC)
